I use Linux only when something bad happens with Windows

Can someone tell me the arguments of GPL not being socialism? Your IP being in the public domain under a free as in freedom license is socialism

drewdevault.com/2019/06/13/My-journey-from-MIT-to-GPL.html

daily reminder that our current globalised and capitalism system make more death than the Staline and Hitler ones together

Yes, I use OpenBSD.

>you're supporting
>FUCKING COLUMN
>communism
out of all things in this image I'm most outraged by the column

I'm at the point where I could consider not using linux anymore, but there's no way I would consider windows or mac os. I would be willing to try a different operating system for a while though.

What do you know about the Linux Colonel?

Depending on a license to be enforced by the government and restricting people from using the products that obtain is more socialistic that allow people property rights, although the requirement to pass that on is socialistically enforcing more property rights.

Why yes, I am in fact supporting communism. What of it OP?

My only gripe with all this is that FLOSS is a huge charity. It just doesn't work out in the wild because every project depends on donations and fundraisers and people who say stuff like "look bruh Torvalds gets payd to develop shit!!!!!!" don't see that it is in essence whitewashing since it is companies making proprietary products and actually y'know MAKING MONEY who fund FLOSS projects to undercut competition. There is this huge dilemma here where one has to earn money but one also would like to provide source since one believes in software freedoms. These things just can't be reconciled. Donations isn't a form of stable income. If this dilemma of getting payed for your work while staying FLOSS could be resolved then everyone would jump ship for sure. The hope I see, the light at the end of the tunnel might be trademark legislation, like RedHat defending its business by disallowing trademarked redistribution but then again I wonder how that affects the freedom to redistribute copies. This whole question goes deep to the roots of intellectual property itself.

Wtf I love linux even more, this is based

There's literally nothing wrong with communism. Only brainlets who can't do anything but follow orders 8h a day and get drunk on the weekend think capitalism is good. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence or critical thinking sees socialism as superior to capitalism.

>animals constantly evolving
>plants constantly evolving
>human society... stagnates

Yes. I'm aware that I was misled by MacOS using millionaires who run the Linux Foundation and brainlet Open Source pushers. Linux is a some proprietary software producing companies' money cow and everything around it is pozzed with lies and hand rubbing assholes.
They told me Linux was about freedom, but I was mislead, it's a proprietary software shilling money laundry.

I fucking hate this kernel.

Not to mention even smart people seem to forget communism is just a mode of production. It has no inherent culture and never killed anyone.

Unlike OpenBSD, Linux people actually generate money instead of working for free.

FOSS is built on the back of independent consultants and other service providers. This is how Red Hat and all the other big players do business. It's a business model as old as civilization, nothing mystical about it.

>taking money from proprietary companies to fund open source bad!!
Bitch please

They're not simply taking money. They are selling sonething.
Read this carefully techrights.org/wiki/index.php/Linux_Foundation

FOSS is blue pilll tier, FLOSS is better, but the red pilll is Free Software.

I'm in awe of the extent of your ignorance regarding communism

There is nothing wrong with them selling services to proprietary companies. That doesn't stop the software from being free and open source.

There are other things they're doing which are bad, such as taking kickbacks for allowing license violations and promoting proprietary services on top of Linux. But those are unrelated to core kernel development.

>That doesn't stop the software from being free and open source.
Except that it does. Linux is not free software.

The blobs can be removed.

sure did pal.
this is now a freedo thread, tuxtards btfo

Cute and kindpilled.

I cam hear multiple proprietary software companies celebrating THANK BSD FOR DOING IT FOR FREE
How does it feel to be a cuck?
