Is RAM prices going to go down more?

Is RAM prices going to go down more?

I want to max out my X299 workstation with 128GB 3600Mhz DDR4 RAM. Is this a good time to get it or will the price lower in the next month or two?

They wouldn't use a cartel racket to drive up the prices for the 3rd time now would they?

hang on, let me pull some figures out of my ass
and assure you that the price is going up or down. Hmmm ok I just had a shit and on the side of the shit was written "who the fuck knows"?

Arent the new AMDs running above 4000Mhz? I figured they would start dumping 3600Mhz RAM more so it becomes cheaper?

Geez I was just asking a question.

There's a 10% off sale for NewEgg I'm debating if I should wait or just get it. I'd love to run at 4133Mhz on X299 but not sure it's worth the extra expense or if modules are available.

Why would you need so much RAM?

hes a Pixar movie animator

Rendering.

Currently I max out 64GB RAM (it's older and slower too)

CPU is 9980XE, so wanna take advantage of it's capability better.

Do you have those nvmeme ssds too?

Yeah, 1TB 970 Pro. Solid workhorse and cache drive.

>128 gb of ram
Fucking why?

See

chrome

Autism levels are high as of late
Not sure what's going on

Actually that's a legit point.

Having Chrome open all the time while doing all this other shit is totally worth having this much RAM.

OP here.

Ordered this thing.

Thanks for not being helpful, as usual, Jow Forums

When China opens their fabs.

China can't make DRAM, all this shit is manufactured in Taiwan.

It's summer time annon. What are you new here?

>RGB kit
I'm glad you didn't get any help. Hope you short it out on installation

>China can't make DRAM
>all this shit is manufactured in Taiwan.
Taiwan is rightful Chinese clay

You can turn those off, and that's the plan. RGB sucks. The module itself are excellent.

RGB is awesome, get bent.

It's almost all korean. SK Hynix (literally spun off from Hyundai) and Samsung are like 80% of the market and most of their fabs are in korea.

Would this be good for ryzen 2000/3000 with a b450 board?

Crucial/Micron isn't Korean.

The Chinese can't make CPUs and DRAM to save their life because they're dumb as fuck and only copy shit and put stuff together.

2000 will like B-Die
3000 we don't know yet since no reviews.

Just hold on a bit.

>Crucial/Micron isn't Korean.
Micron as a producer is tiny. Crucial used a lot of hynix and Samsung die for DDR4, especially the higher tier SKUs. I think micron E-die is their only good one but only the latest revision. Otherwise Samsung B-die and Hynix CJR dominated higher SKUs even on stuff like Crucial TridentZ or Ripjaws V
