Better frametimes on the Intel CPU.

Not with the 3600

so what's the problem here?

Why does the right side looks better?

>Needing more than 100 fps for a race car game

what is this, a post from 2018?

Right side has better frame times, utilizes the GPU and RAM better too.

It's never about need. There are turn based games that are 1 FPS per 10 seconds that are entertaining. It's about what's possible.
If you can have 500 FPS on a display that could show that, why not? Even if the difference with 250 would be negligible.

...

No a real problem other than both are generally on par with each other but one is much cheaper than the other.

Sure there is ups on down on both sides but thanks AMD for making Intel stuff a bit cheaper (effects not in yet but it will be apparently) so that it is a win win either way.

It will be a good time soon for PC upgrades when AMD 3000 series comes out and also with Intel lowering their prices to stay a bit more competitive (Intel have overcharged for a while now due to lack of competition, this should definitely change very soon).

Only genuine down side to all this is the AMD fanboys/ shills vs Intel fanboys/ shills on Jow Forums (small price to pay for being a part of much smaller tech community compared to other forums, etc).

Who the fuck cares about a 9 FPS difference when you're nearly at 300 fucking fps. Fuck gaymer manchildren, go back to /v/

Who gives a fuck? Just play the damn game!

So you're saying I should buy a console?

>video games
cringe

grow up

Security and if any security patches were also used in the benchmark are also notable things. Plus Ryzen has a new scheduler coming out for Windows.

>1 frame per second per 10 seconds
what did he mean by this

>no cpu temps for 2600x

The 2600X at 4.3Ghz is being strung out to its absolute limit and potentially is actually performing WORSE because it's got a lot more unstable data poassing through.

The 8700k is not being run anywhere near it's clock limit and so,
This test isn't even an accurate clock-to-clock comparison.

Gamers are retards.

>4.3GHz on the 8700k when it easily reaches 5GHz

>it's got a lot more unstable data poassing through
Yeah, that's not how that works

The point is to compare the 8700k vs the 2600X at the same clocks, and in this case the 2600X performs better at the same clocks, with the same memory and the same GPU.

ipc comparison

Intel shill never use anything other than the 9900k because everything else gets BTFO

>in both scenarios CPUs are barely used

At that point it would run about the same on a i7 2600 you fucking retard.

>Overclocked Ryzen
>Underclocked 8700k
>No indication on RAM setup
>some shitty racing game that's probably cherrypicked, such as AMDrones love their Dirt game
Try again

RAM is 5200MHz as shown in the image. They are at the same clock because this test is intended to show that Zen+ and Coffee Lake provide similar performance at the same clocks.

Both CPUs are barely used because the game likely is only able to load up 1-2 cores. The numbers probably would be the same for an 8350k and a 3400G at the same clocks.

Every 10 seconds there's 1 frame within that second.

So this means around 0.0016241 frames per hour.

>0.0016241 frames per hour.
How do you even calculate that

>41% cpu usage, 306FPS
>35% CPU usage, 297FPS
This means the one on the right wins, by a long shot.

Right side is a 2080Ti and left side is integrated graphics.

Good enough for either. Even old CPUs are great if you don't give a shit like I do.

Holly shit, that math tho

6 cores vs 8 cores.

Yeah when it's just showing total cpu usage, the 8 core part looks way better...

>300 fps

WHOOOOAAAAOOUUUH A WHOLE 9 FPS DIFFERENCE

>So you're saying I should buy a console?
Why are you jerking yourself off to 9 fucking FPS if you can afford the best hardware money can buy anyway? Who gives a fuck as long as it's 60 or over 60 on any hardware period?

how does one even run this RAM oc on a 2600x?

good thread

/thread

9 fps at 300 fps is like nothing.
9 fps at 30 fps is a ton.

ONLY FRAMETIME matters.

JEJKd & based

>5200 ram
>taking picture on a fps test where the fps could be higher on amd since there looking at different areas
lmao

>using less gpu
>more FPS

How does that make sense?

60 - 9 = 51
Think about it

This, all you fucking AMD idiots are delusional. If it was intel winning something
“Oh VeY hErE is somE moneY JeW meme”. You guys are actually depressed and fat. Go outside and get laid and maybe half of this board will actually shit post less.

It's literally impossible to have better frametimes at lower FPS. They're intrinsically linked. The overlay simply isn't updating fast enough to cope with the fluctuations. Why are there so many tech-illiterates from /v/ on this board these days?

So wheres the temp for the left side?

>CPU usages higher by 6% on ryzen
>ryzen leads in fps by a bit

What exactly am I supposed to be looking at here other than the obvious?

>2600x $180
>8700k $350

8700K is fucking 6C/12T you absolute mongrel.

Look at the image.
maybe it's manipulated, because the lower the frametime the higher the FPS.

Smells like photoshopped

This is how I know you're b8ing

Are AMD fags so desperate the only games they can find which show them outperforming Intel are old as shit games which already get like 300 fps?

that ram is the VRAM you mongoloid
