They saw you comng.

It's literally a larger than average ATX case

You mean mATX?

So am I right in thinking that Raijintek and Jonsbo are making the best compact cases right now?

mini itx is such a Reddit hobby.

I had one before. They're overheating pieces of shit with zero airflow.
Never again.

>stuffing all your components and cables into a small box with no airflow

I will never understand this meme. Even in my mid tower it was annoying as fuck trying to get some stuff in there so I decided to go straight up full tower next time. I can't imagine what it would be a puny pos like that

Got this one coming tomorrow, going to transfer my stuff out of a Thermaltake Core V21 cube to it since the V21 doesn't really save any space compared to a "standard" mATX tower.

>optical drive
Absolutely beautiful.
I had to stock up on cases with at least 3 5.25 bays because most new cases including full and super size don't even have 1 5.25. bay. Minimalist in appearance and functionality

Most of them have better airflow than mainstream cases because they have vented side panels, an actually useful function over form design. Whereas nowadays you'd be hardpressed to find even a plain solid side panel much less a vented one on mainstream cases. The only problem with SFFPC is that they limit the height of the cooler

Does anyone have this case (Fractal Design Meshify C Mini)? It seems like the ideal size for a light gaming/dev workstation build.

Attached: Fractal-Design-Meshify-C-Mini-Chassis-Review-on-KitGuru-FEATURED.jpg (2048x1260, 850K)

Sounds like you have a garbage case. Even my ML08 and 202 was just as easy to build in as my source 210. Thermals are pretty shit tho so I went to a Ncase and have had no issues. It's by far the easiest case I've worked and thermal performance is great.

Can't the ncase fit a c14s? Alternatively thermalright claims that the Silverarrow 130 (130mm tall cooler specifically for SFFPC) is finally available in the US, although i don't see it in any stores.

I have a cerberus and it's honestly a tad small for me since most of the x570 itx boards look phoned in except maybe Gigabyte, so I'm thinking about just going with the Cerberus X for ATX support.

its small bro
for yuropoors like me a small case works just fine, it's not like it's 2006 and SLI is the thing lol

It can with some caveats, but the two side noctua fans provide enough airflow that even with a slight overclock I'm still under 80c
I'm still waiting for a decent replacement for the c14(non s) since that one has much more flexibility. I might end up getting a U9s tho

What CPU do you have? And what are the caveats for the C14s?

Those cubes are fucking retarded. If you place a computer on your desk the most relevant component would be the space it takes on your desk, not its vertical height.

You could have some skinny dick PC that extends to the roof, but if it is only 2"x2", it takes up very little desk space.

Buying a cube "ITX" case takes up more space than cases of higher weightclasses.

It's pretty comfy

8600k. I'm able to get it up to 4.7ghz on all cores without thermal throttling, but then I'm at 93c, so I just have it running at an all core overclock of 4.4ghz.
With the C14s the 140mm fan is big enough that you can run into some issues with your PSU. You either have to mount it using the ATX bracket with an SFX to ATX adapter, or replace the 140mm fan with a 120mm one. Also you're only limited to slim 120mm fans on both slots of the side panel. The C14(non s) doesn't have this issue and you can even mount a normal 120mm fan in both slots.

>not OP here
I bought one for real cheap and am currently building a NAS in it. Any tips on avoiding flaming computer?

Much thank,

>tfw get an old itx pc from brother. Put dedicated grafix card in the thing. Get temps over 90 degrees celsius on idle. Take everything out and put it all in atx case and get temps idle around 30 degrees celsius.

yeah buy a bigger case

I see. But that C14S could probably keep your 8600k at 60C and everything else in the case cool with just its one fan. I tried it on a 2700X running prime small FFT (worst case power, 130W) and it stayed around 70C. A 8600k should be much leaner unless you're running AVX workloads and you could get your OC back to 4.7 without worrying about temps.

The U9S is okay. I also tried that. It was way worse than the C14s though, would hit the max 85C with the stock fan. Needed a Corsair ML120 running pwm with top intake fans in the Cerberus to keep it under 80C, but it could get down to like 75C with fans maxed. I settled for an AIO which works as well as the c14s with closed panels, but I'm not sure if the Ncase can fit that.

Keep an eye out for the Silverarrow 130. It should fit in the ncase m1 and from what I've heard on the SFFPC forum it's way better than the U9S, probably closer to the C14S.

>But that C14S could probably keep your 8600k at 60C and everything else in the case cool with just its one fan
Even the A12x25 could probably do it desu. Although I didn't try that.

>finally available in the US
Just buy direct from Thermalright's Japanese distributor DIRAC. They have a storefront on Amazon Japan, so you don't have to deal with customs or anything. The only US distributor for Thermalright is Nan's Gaming Gear and they're a fucking joke of a business.

I have the non-mesh variant, the Define C mini
It really isn't that small for an mATX case.

I thought I had finally found the case for me. Corsair air 240. Smallish, cute, and cheap. But has 120 mm max card height for gpu. Why Bros why. There's like no nonreference cards that short

That's CPU cooler height retard

corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Carbide-Series™-Air-240-High-Airflow-MicroATX-and-Mini-ITX-PC-Case/p/CC-9011070-WW#tab-tech-specs

Did you stop and think that whatever the limit for the cpu cooler is, it's basically the same for the gpu? I already checked, and that's not counting the power cables.

I know the noctua nh-c14s is a great cooler, i'm just waiting to see if I can get some cheaper i7s when ryzen 3 comes out. In the mean time I'm looking to see if I can find a nh-c14 on ebay.

what gpus are you looking to get? even 120mm is massive. Also are you sure cause the 1080ti kingpin can fit and EVGA says that card is 140mm

Well I need it to fit my current card which is an msi 980 4g. I'm gonna upgrade it down the line so if it fits my current card then I'm all in cause I can always shop around for shorter cards. Msi says my card height is 140 mm

This guy fit a 2080TI in his

reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/9lu5pt/carbide_air_240_is_cheating_for_cable_management/

gigabyte.com/us/Graphics-Card/GV-N2080TGAMING-OC-11GC#sp

Did you remember to subtract the PCI-Ex16 pin height? Or to get a more precise calculation of the height you're allowed, the CPU and socket height, which is usually 7-10mm? A CPU cooler that's 120mm tall is going to sit 127-130mm over the motherboard. It's the same reason why you can fit taller than expected RAM under the C14S in low profile mode

Is that including or excluding the expansion slot flange that sits in the case?

keep in mind when measuring GPU height the expansion slot is included in the measurement and that sticks out 20mm bellow the pcie slot. the air 240 can fit gpu's as big as 145mm in thickness, tho it will be a tight squeeze.

*height not thickness

nah you're a tard
the xfx 290 can fit and that shit is like 144mm and you still have enough space for the power cables

Thanks for all the information! So if I wanted to measure my card height, I'd start from the motherboard pcb then? All the way to the cable ends?

Seems that way. Gonna measure my card real quick

Any good itx case that can house a triple slot gpu?

Sorry, meant to say from the tip of the pci 16 slot

Ncase M1

nCase M1

Sliger/Kimera Cerberus. It's actually an mATX case. Sliger/Kimera SM560

My butthole

Really? i hear some say it might be a hit or miss, specifically using Palit GTX 1070 Super Jetstream which is a 2.5slot card and its height is also extended due to the massive cooler

SLiger looks pretty nice

Also these case seems to be nowhere to be found on my region

sehr gut

Is it bigger than the 2080 to XC2 in
?

This pic is a few months old and I've done a few more things to it, but haven't gotten a chance to update the photos.

Attached: Ghost S1 Noc Intake.jpg (4604x2392, 2.49M)

Found the exact same card I have in it. Looks it fits but it touches the window. Fixed by using a low profile extension I'm hoping. Thanks again!

Attached: gj7ogrJ.jpg (3264x2448, 605K)

This case is pretty great with the official SFX PSU bracket. Gives some more holes for airflow and lets you put in a bigger CPU cooler.

U sure. Cause the ncase has three slots and even with all of them taken up you can still fit a slim 120mm fan.

This card right here is a 3 slot

Oh, nice looks like triple slots are in

However i think i remember now why im a little hesitant, it's not just the thiccness but also the height, will this height be ok?

The 1070 Super Jetstream is a tad higher than regular cards, will that be an issue?

Attached: 1070SJS.png (1280x636, 715K)

Yeah it will be fine. The ncase was designed to accommodate custom water cooling loops and even big fittings fit just fine.

It will be a tight squeeze, but you've got like 10mm to play around in

>DA2 with 280 rad cools worse than Ncase with 240 rad due to shitty side vent holes.

DA2 more like the DPeeYew

Attached: 1526268027787.gif (271x226, 987K)

From site details:

GTX 1070 Super Jetstream:
285mm x 133mm x 2.5slot

RTX 2080 Ti XC2
269.83mm x 111.15mm x 2.75slot

Why ? They're not portable enough to be carried around anywhere like a laptop and they have shit airflow unlike an ATX case.
Literally worst of both worlds.

We all must make sacrifices for beauty

Just go to SFFforum and ask Necere(Designer) yourself, he posts there daily and responds relatively quickly.

smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/new-revision-of-ncase-m1-when.9229/

You're a monkey, not even worth debating

At that point, why not buy a ghost.

As an M1 owner, can we all agree that the ghost is the best looking case on the market right now?

the ncase can fit an evga 1080ti kingpin and that card is 145mm in height. Again it's a tight squeeze, but you have about 10mm of play.

Ghost looks best with small or no tophats imo. I hate the large tophat and not willing to sacrifice THAT much.

That’s such a humongous card!

That’s my problem with the ghost as well, those top hats look awful. The core unit is great, but the top hats are an ugly workaround at best.

Yeah if they made a bigger Ghost i'd be on that in a heartbeat

That title belongs to the Circle Pro imo.

I'm not paying $450 for a case though.

Attached: cpro-gpu-glass_3000x.jpg (3000x1806, 371K)

Could be interesting if I wasn’t 100% certain that any real hardware would get cooked alive in that thing.

The Jonsbo cases are notorious for "form over function" and choke any kind of high-end hardware to death since they refuse to make fan cutouts. Worst offender when the PSU fan is either breathing in heated air from the interior or is facing the closed off aluminium front.

If you are running sth like a Ryzen 2600 + 570 or 1660ti it will be fine, but god forbid you try to fit an AMD 8 core/ OCed Intel CPU + GPU with more than ~150w power consumption in there.

I checked amazon.jp and it only looks like they have the Regular version and not the Plus version with Nickel Electroplating or the Graphene version.

Nice, And after some more digging, it's quite expensive and it's only limited in availability it seems, preorder of V6 starting in July and im not even sure if it ships in my region

>temper glass sidewall
That's gonna be an oven dude

Ah — yeah.
Availability is one thing, but if the price is out of budget for you, you can always look into something like the COUGAR QBX. It’s very”ncasey” but plastic/steel.

Attached: 553C6ECA-2E3C-432B-82B6-779663EA2912.jpg (1920x1667, 609K)

Pretty sure that's end of life. But there is the Raijintek Ophion. I think they're starting to roll out the vented metal side panels.

Both can't fit 2.5 to 3 slot cards

Maybe i should just sell this 1070, but im gonna miss out on its outstanding cooling (60-65C 2Ghz OC no fan tweaking)

I like pic related a lot. It's very silent, and placing the GPU, CPU and PSU intakes right beside dust filters works surprisingly well. Exhaust is done passively by vents on top and bottom of the case.

The only complaints I have are that with 58mm cpu cooler clearance limits choices quite a bit, and SSDs in the drive cases run pretty hot, around 50-58°C typically.

Attached: ml08-34right.jpg (560x560, 29K)

I have a silverstone rvz01. Normally wouldn't recommend water cooling, but for these I would say yes if you can fit a 120mm aio in it. Also get extra case fans for the gpu to get enough positive pressure to exhaust hot air out.

I kind of wish i could upgrade my internal chassis to the V4, those cutouts for fans on the bottom would really help i think.

The ML08 (and RVZ02 since they have the same form factor) is too thin to have any case fans inside. All the CPU, PSU and GPU fans are like max 5mm away from the dust filters.

I replaced my RVZ01 because it was such a cunt to work in.

Hmm. I haven't tried my case without the extra fans but maybe a blower might actually help in this situation. Not sure if a non-blower can create enough positive pressure to exhaust the hot air out. Also to fitting an aio in one of these is kind of a struggle. Need to get the tubes in the right orientation and press them down. But it drops your temps 10-20C.

t. richfag

I can't decide if I want the raijentek ophion or the ophion Evo.
I like the smallness of the non Evo but it only fits 1 2.5 drive and the cooling looks like it's gonna be shit without a 240 aio blowing out the top.
I'm running an r5 1600 + xfx 290 DD, looking to replace the GPU soon to something a little cooler

Part of me just thinks I should get a fractal core 500 and keep my nh-d15 cooler although the cubes look a bit boring
