Do we really need that many ports on the motherboard

Seriously?

t. USBlet

who's """we"""?

Cope harder itoddler

all those ports and not a single one for video

>buys a full size ATX
>cries about being given more things
I can only imagine what kind of cuck you are irl.

I feel like two to four of those should be thunderbolt 3.

Weird that ASrock is the only company reliably putting it on their mid-high range stock.

I hate when mobos have a bunch of USB ports but can't support their combined bandwidth. So fucking retarded.

yes

Oh fuck off you absolute nigger. Yes we fucking do, if you don't just buy some 50$ Mini ITX board or some such shit.

Most USB devices aren't running at full speed constantly

Dont care. I want full bandwidth. If i want to split the bandwidth, i will buy an accessory to do so.

The type-c is pointless but I need many USB ports.
1) mouse
2) keyboard
3) numpad
4) printer
5) scanner
6) dac
7) external HDD for backup

Guess what!
This is the PC market, not Apple.
You can actually buy hardware according to your need not the perceived image of what your needs are from a company whos main focus is stay at home moms and instagramers.
You dont want USB-ports, dont buy them...

I don't care what you want, I want to see you use the full bandwidth from every port right now.

Mejor a mayor

>2.5G
What? is this supposed to be some kind of paired/dual NIC gaymer motherboard of something?

x570 supports x8 USB 3.1 and x4 USB 2.0. So those would all be "full speed".
Looks like the blue ones are 2.0 in that picture.

And damn, dual ethernet, too. If that was mATX, I'd buy it.
Not a fan of BIOS reset and restart button on the back, though.

kb.netgear.com/000060674/What-is-a-2-5G-Multi-Gig-port-and-how-does-it-work-with-my-Nighthawk-Tri-Band-AX12-router
WHAT?
WHY?

I agree, you only need like 6 excluding audio.4 USB,1 VGA for integrated graphics and 1 Ethernet port.

>no 7.1 audio
nope

absolutly yes
fuck off zoomer itoddler

most of these are pointless as well

What the fuck is BIOS button for? Is it too hard to press Del by modern standarts?

I use mostly all of my ports

>no firewire port
What a fucking waste

>having more options bad
back to apple you go

If you have Fast Boot on, it boots straight to the OS

Its going to be either the button to update bios from USB or rollback to the default safe working bios in case of failed flash.

Just buy mac if you do not need ports fagot.

No PS/2 ports?

VR alone takes 5 ports.
A few external SSDs dedicated for VMs.

>x570 supports x8 USB 3.1 and x4 USB 2.0. So those would all be "full speed".
Doubt it
>Looks like the blue ones are 2.0 in that picture.
lmao wtf is that? USB 3 is supposed to be blue

This, i'm considering getting an usb 3.0 pcie card just because of VR

I didn't say it was an X570 board. It looks like it's not.

The X570 Creation supports up to 23 USB, 14 of those on the back, they wouldn't all be at full speed.

>keyboard
>mouse
>printer
>dac
>webcam
>bluetooth
> game controller
>multi-porpouse hotkey keyboard
And almost all ports are alreadly filled.

2.5GB any NAS that support that?

For connecting obscure products to your motherboard.

i used to have a usb2 version of one of those
it actually made sense back when most computers had 100Mb/s ethernet, while usb2 could do 480Mb/s
now though;
- everything has gigabit ethernet (faster than that 68MB/s)
- you don't need a special type of cable (crossover)
just use a damn ethernet cable!

i have 7 on the back of my mobo and im using allnof them:
blutettoth adapter, mouse, keyboard (requires two usb ports for somw reason), mic, us fan, phone dock....

i'm using atleast 4 in rear, phone, keyboard, mouse and dac (for both headphone and speaker it's shit thought). My front panel kinda dead so everything on rear usb port.

Wait you dont need crossover anymore? Since fucking when?

iBabbies that get palpitations when they see more than 2 ports.

since ages ago
pretty sure most of not all gigabit lan cards support auto mdi-x, so basically anything newer than about 2003 should support it
also note that only one side needs to support it, so even interfacing with an old machine isn't a problem

>no "gaymer OC" PS/2 ports
>plenty of type A USB

I could do without the 5.1 audio and the wifi antennas but yeah that looks about perfect

Wow, hot.

Why the hell not?

Holy fuck why did no one tell me?

i suppose it's not something that gets mentioned much, it kind of also coincidences with many people getting soho routers with integrated switches, making connecting two machines directly pretty uncommon
every time i mention it here, someone says it's news to them

Where the FUCK is the PS/2 port? Are you supposed to use this computer without a fucking keyboard?

Cheaper than Aquantia, that’s about it.

tfw you realize the "keyboard not found / press any key to continue" of modern times is "mouse not found / click ok to continue" in a shitty uefi that works only half of the time

Attached: 1560974425977.png (1000x1000, 345K)

What the fuck are you talking about? I don't care about bios etc. I need a keyboard to interact with my computer.

>USB SSDs
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Stop being autistic. Just use USB. There is no circumstance where the latency difference between USB and PS/2 is relevant anymore. Not even in pro gaming.

yes, my mobo has 14 ports and most are in use

You cuck, you can't appreciate that we now have more rear I/O when it has been lacking up til now.

USB type-C if it supports thunderbolt 3, can do displayport.

Oculus pleb detected

>VR
>external SSD
2 IQ brainlet spotted

Do you not have USB3 to SATA cables bro? Do you even have an IT job? lmao

>Oculus pleb
I bought it a while ago and it works just fine. I'm not going to spend money on a new VR headset until I think the upgrade is worth it. Stop being a brand loyalist cuck.
2 times 0 is still 0 hahahha

What do you have a 16 drive USB raid?

>complains about too many ports
Just you wait until you need to attach keyboard, mouse, external hdd, tablet, external audio card for musicmaking, bluetooth module and a micro USB cable for general use.
USB ports run out fast, having a few extras can only be a blessing.

it should be 2 rows of usb type C with 8x each. instead of 2 rows of x4 type a

N-key rollover and being able to use a USB-soundcard at the same time. My keyboard uses too much bandwidth to be able to play music at the same time.

Attached: 1561367414134.jpg (800x863, 98K)

the thing that really triggers me about that panel is the clear cmos and bios rollback buttons.

It's 2019, no one uses that garbage any more.

is that zero two?

Leave this website

Look at this, newfags yelling at OP about muh USB but nobody notices the lack of PS2, VGA, DVI, TOSLINK or SCART.

Fucking newfags, no wonder the board is so fucking shit.

Attached: 25298-full.png (676x507, 336K)

It's not 1990 anymore boomer. Nobody uses that shit.

>PS2
No-one with a high end mobo has a PS2 keyboard
>VGA, DVI, .. or SCART.
It's a Ryzen mobo, they don't have iGPU's
>TOSLINK
It does have it

Attached: OV7SyD.gif (500x281, 1.01M)

Yes you retard. Buy a Mac If you don't like usability.

I now want a mobo with SCART

I need more

That looks great but where's the PS/2 port???

Attached: 1472166377178.png (800x632, 278K)

Ethernet ports are mandatory in any companies, 100 computers sharing the same Wifi network is shit.

>Line out/Line In/Mic In
Some people need a Mic or wired headphones

>>OP
I'm also baffled about this level of idiocy in a Jow Forums thread . I guess things that were obvious few weeks ago are completely new to today's "digital natives". That said, these things only became obvious to me when mouse and printers moved to USB back in the day. You should get a USB hub

Attached: 61bdF0PZ5bL._SL1000_.jpg (1000x1000, 107K)

>12 usb ports
>not a single ps/2
disgusting

>The existing Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet standards do not support speeds between 10 Gbps and 1 Gbps.
Is this true?

I've always wanted the ports to be in the front, and would face the back of my system towards me.

>PS/2
superseded by USB
>VGA
analog signal... are you retarded?
>DVI
most GPUs still have it
>TOSLINK
it's there
>SCART
It's TV-only and only exists in Europe
then again, animetards don't surprise me anymore

Attached: 4726ed22fa686aeb06c9573a9296b23af831e5f5.jpg (380x250, 13K)

Yes, the 2.5 and 5 Gbit/s standards have been finalized recently.

At least half of those USB-A ports should be USB-C.

The fuck do the red ones mean?

Fuck you, I hope your reproduction organs get cancer and you die in the worst way possible.

I need more ports. I want my next build to have 4 Ethernet ports and like 12 usb-c

>firewire
>garbage
>no one uses it
Tell me where I can get a +18 channel audio interface that can record all channels simultaneously without hiccups and that isn't macOS only.
A lot of recording studios still use Firewire devices and for good reason.

>all those USB ports
>not a single PS/2 port for emergencies when everything else fucks up

Attached: 1523974955872.jpg (405x266, 32K)

>PS/2
>superseded by USB
This is what braindead Windows 10 zoomers really think.

USB 3.1 ports and they don't turn off when the PC is in sleep mode

>shitty uefi that works only half of the time
ITT things that never happened

>Stop being autistic. Just use USB.
I WOULD IF I COULD INSTALL WINDOWS 7 ON A NEW COMPUTER WITH USB, YOU RETARDED FUCKING ZOOMER CLOWNS

I have a ps/2 keyboard and a high end motherboard

...why can't you?

What does that bios button do?

probably a BIOS switch, between first and 2nd BIOS.

>PS/2
This isn't 1970.

because windows 7 doesn't work on Ryzen or newer or whatever. They are just being autistic and not wanting to spend the 10 minutes to make W10 work

The newest chipsets from both Intel and AMD aren't compatible with the old USB drivers in the Windows 7 installation anymore. You can easily install current drivers once on the desktop but you have to get to the desktop first, and unless you want to jump through hoops to inject your Windows 7 image with new drivers beforehand you're dependent on a PS/2 keyboard.
