why do i have so many packages
idk, why do you have so many packages?
Ebin. Are these things okay for >"normal" use?
No
For Debian 2.5k is acceptable if you work on multiple things that require a lot of crap(like full LaTeX). Could also be tons of packages for other languages than english. Easy to remove all that "bloat" though.
persuaded by the arch memes decided to try arch, seems pretty solid so far
because debian splits packages
>kde
What fucking fag !
Because you actually use your computer instead of being of those muh bloat posters.
What are you a faggot? get on my level bitch

I like it slightly riced.
i'm a "security intern"
Probably mostly KDE. You'll have around 2k packages on Debian with KDE, unless you only installed kde-plasma-desktop then it'd be around 1.5k.
>nix-env -i the-kitchen-sink
I posted it again.
The only distro that matters
>stock kernel
>bash
>GNOME
why not just use ubuntu at this point
Because Ubuntu is very annoying.
This is about as comfy as I'm willing to go for the next couple of years.
>Using AMD A10-7800
Holy shit, I love that APU back in the day. Used it with a 1050.
An oldie but a goodie...
( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º)
I also have a lot. I installed the 'bloated' version of Debian (aka dvd image through Calamares). Just as there are a lot of package related to other languages installed, including tools for japanese characters and I don't even know what else.
That was in my very first pre-built machine I got from like a best buy. Then I upgraded said system to an R5 2600, but kept the drive it came in.
What kind of kernel would you use?
