NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
DELID DIS

Seems like AMD's getting flack for not recommending X570 so they're claiming the new mobos will get you higher OCs.

Nothing to see here.

>sorry for what?
>our daddy taught us not to be ashamed of our dicks

Oh, it's Robert the Lier.
Reminder that PBO is *NOT* officially supported on Ryzen outside of Threadripper.

X570 is not a TR board. PBO is only for TR.
Plenty of people had problems with PBO not working after enabling RAID, AMD only said "Not our problem".

have cope

>Robert the Lier.
what

Kek I can't wait for them to backtrack on that video saying it was only a typo

Okay, this is EPYC.

It's a old and well known problem. See:
warosu.org/g/?task=search&ghost=&search_text=raid pbo
or:

wow, you seem pretty emotionally invested in this

Post proof that it isn't you kike

would you even need this if you just manual overclock?

He's very specifically stating that X570 with Ryzen 5+ CPUs will have the new PBO. If they don't officially support it I'd think that's grounds for a lawsuit.

Sidenote, X470 and been using PBO with no issues. I've never heard that it wasn't supported. If it's a RAID issue, I guess I wouldn't notice since my storage is practically all on the network.

only 5% of cucks who buy intel unlocked parts manually overclock

with AMD, they overclock automatically for your

I thought that you could use PBO on ryzen 2000? it is enabled on my asus board.

>redditor posts info from more than 3 months before the launch of CPU
kys retard

PBO is on X570 for Ryzen 3000. Did you even watch the vid?

AMD finally catching up to nvidia's Maxwell boost 2

oh, what the heck then
they're just trying to sell the boards with like 10 VRMs?

I suppose they are

It matters for more cores, so yes. Only a handful of x470 boards will be able to handle 12 core and up without any problems. If you go by mobo specs.

Literally Shoah

and X570 was specced from the ground up for the 16 cores which leads to the nice side effect that if you purchase a 8 or 12 core literally any X570 board will probably handle the max OC on those chips

Will I be able to use PBO if I'm using a B450 board on a 3600?

What do you mean? "Any motherboard with a bios for 3rd gen ryzen" gonna be able to use PBO according to baldamdguy. However, it doesn't really ends at VRM, it also needs decent CPU temps and some other shit. Decent b450 boards uses 4phase VRMs which should be ok for a 6core cpus.

Yeah, but will PBO overheat when using the stock cooler or is it built for that?

In theory it should pick best possible "boost" for your temps/VRMpwr/SoCpwr (getting all data in realtime with sensors. Some motherboard makers probably cheap out on some sensors on some boards, which makes PBO literally useless)

Of course they want more money. Are you daft?

That one comes with the wraith stealth, instead of overheating the cpu probaly won't even try to get higher clocks with pbo in the first place because of the meh cooling, you could buy a new cooler doesn't need to be that expensive like the hyper 212 eve that is kind of popular but still if you are adding extra cost at that point may as well jump to a 3600x that comes with a better cooler.

Stop buying Intel.

>use a compute card (vega) for video games
Sure defys convention alright.

it'll be available on x470 as well most likely, just not officially supported by AMD.

just like you can get PBO on 2700x or 2600x, despite them not being officially supported either.

>WHY COMPANY USE STUPID NAME TO ATTRACT CONSUMER???

Attached: 1507158917074.png (645x729, 11K)

Does it attract you? Do you feel like a big rebel, fighting the big bad Nvidia?

It's quite funny to think that this shit actually works on some people and people genuinely buy a product based not on how it performs or price but for religious beliefs

You tell em bro, I personally think it's very cool.

Attached: 31.jpg (1750x2500, 482K)

*new* pbo algo for ryzen 3000 series.
if they're drop in compatible with x470, then the "new* pbo wil work on your old mobo.

stop trying to twist shit.

what are you, a cache-let?
9900k is 16mb+2mb+512kb or ~1/4 of the 3950x

watch the video, he literally says it's only supported on x570.

Sure it'll probably be enabled by your motherboard vendor on x470 too, but it's not officially supported or tested by AMD.

I'm thinking the new xfr will also be a doozy.
It's a bit strange like they haven't mentioned it yet. I think they're leaving it as the last surprise for the launch event.

it works like this:
if it's a cpu feature and your new cpu works in the x470 chipset, then it just werks. Just like the mem controller. It's in the cpu, so if you're using a ryzen 2 series on an old x470 mobo, then you're probably going to get the expected frequencies. And just like with the pbo stuff, dpending on the peculiarities of your old motherboard, mem topology, the vendor bios timings and fine tuning, and the vrm power delivery design, your mileage will vary.

and AMD officially supports the backwards comaptibility. And they're pushing for it. Do you really asus/msi/giagabyte would let that sweet programed obsolescence go to waste otherwise?

>and AMD officially supports the backwards comaptibility
Source?
And if so, why didn't he say X570 AND X470, instead he specified X570.

Look, the current 2000 series Ryzen chips aren't officially supporting PBO, but all the motherboard manufacturers enable it anyone if you want to use it.
Officially AMD only supports it with Treadripper 2000 series.

We know AMD officially supports X570 + R5 3000 series chips. But i've seen literally NOTHING saying AMD OFFICIALLY supports X470 and 3000 series PBO.

what's exclusive for the x570 itself are the things in the chipset. And the pcie 4.0; pending, I'm a bit confused with pci 4.0 in the x470 and I'm reserving my judgement for now.

see

...he never actually said what's changed from Ryzen 2000.

Attached: 1535008495690.png (263x287, 91K)

sauce: common sense.

Look, idgaf. You're annoying.
again:
is it a cpu feature, is it printed in the cpu box? it works, regardless of the chipset.
is it a mobo feature? is it printed in the mobo box? vrm, mem topology, nvme support? then, it's exclusive to x570.

intel, has 110k employees and a development center in India, Bangalore.
amd has 11k employees, and outside the US, only resales offices.

which company do you think will clog the designated streets first?

don't worry, there are temps to be concerned about as well.

He doesn't know indians buy intel in droves kek

go buy raid unlocking "keys" for you're intel platform. And cope more.

I think i've been vastly overestimating other consumers. all my CPU's have been overclocked because why not get extra performance? electricity is cheap here. where do you get overclocking per cpu purchased stats?

what are the best X470 motherboards for this? I don't want to pay the goy tax on X570. I intend to get a 3900X.

mhh. I really wonder who is behind this post...

they wouldn't dare.
graphs for the 2080ti are used solely to compare against vega in 4k.
they use the 2060 for muh power, again, against vega.

Is the warranty situation still the same? Will I lose it if I enable this? Or is there even a way for them to tell if it does die and I lie?

so, it's p_state OC made even easier.
or p_state on the fly.
