i've known this guy for 20 years. He's my brother. Discord was a great way for us to keep in touch. I have his phone number, it's just great to use discord.

The fact of the matter is that the masses will always be herded like sheep. If you go out of your way to avoid services like discord then you are one of few and mark yourself as dissident. Decide what route to take, sounds like you already decide to follow the masses, desu it's best if you stay on that route, you don't want to be a societal dropout, trust me. There're reasons people use the "redpill" euphemism, and one reason is that once you start down the rabbit hole, you are never going to return to life as it was. I personally didn't get a choice, I was born to a drug dealer and grew up in that world. I see people decide they want to dropout all the time, and it almost never ends well, if not only for the simple reason that they decided to start playing an alternative game of Life where every other player already has years of experience.

If you don't mind proprietary 3rd party solution might as well just use Wire.

as a kid, yeah of course, I could sell shake weed that no adult was even willing to smoke, let alone sell, for prices as if it was the best shit you could get. I became very disillusioned as I got older and got to meet the low level cartel members that supply everything. I'm still and will always be a felon but I no longer even use drugs myself, definitely wouldn't fuck with selling them. I managed to become a freelance soft/web developer, partially because it's one of the only fields left where you can make decent money without a single cert or degree, and if you do it freelance no one asks about your history

but regardless of any improvements in life, half my social circle is still consisting of drug addicts, and the deaths increase every year. Even so, sometimes I meet new people and get into stories of the past, and either by my mistake or their ignorance, they think that the dark side of society is glamorous and these are always the people that get completely used fucked and killed, whether it's by drugs, the military (they love to get contractors that are societal dropouts because those people can do dirty work and it doesn't matter when they disappear) sexual degeneracy (I've seen multiple women descend that path) or otherwise.

I'd love to be a person that's simply worried about being banned on discord. My recommendation to someone banned from discord isn't to find an alternative that wont ban for "questionable" speech, but rather to maybe go outside and forget about it

yeah im working on a business. it disturbs me because i don't want to deal with customers, but I failed in my fields and i'm about to be homeless. i can't do that coding shit so im gritting my teeth and i gotta figure out how to deal with customers. and i suppose he's my only connection to discord and i have his phone number. I don't really care about these other servers. most of these servers are just superficial friendships and meme regurgitation. people check messages like once a week, it's just a giant phone tag community. i might even follow your advice.
