Hijacking this faggot's thread: I own a gaming laptop that I don't use for gaymes any more but it wouldn't be worth it for me to sell it.

It's a razer blade and it uses the fans way more often than I should. I disabled the dGPU's driver in the settings but it didn't do anything.

Any Winblows software I can use for easing the fan speed curve? There was nothing in the BIOS or Razer synapse. maybe I should just disconnect the fans altogether.

You cannot escape thermodynamics.
If your laptop doesn't have enough space for cooling it will either throttle or have a screaming fan to move the tiny amount of air it has to work with.

My T460p has a 45W TDP CPU and doesn't even get loud under 100% load.
But then it's made with performance in mind, not to be the skinniest fashion accessory possible at the cost of everything else.

It's crazy how the optics on buying a 2500-3500 macbook are fine, but suggest somebody spend >1400 on a windows laptop and it's inconceivable. $1700 here, and it's more than enough to keep me happy, and I'm almost positive I'm more demanding of it than most mbp users.

Go back to mac bro, windows is for gamers only, anyone with a job gets shit done on Linux or MacOS.

macOS is so much better than Windows and it's not even a competition. You'd think Microsoft would be more invested in something as large as Windows for consumer use, but nah.
You can just install Linux and that fixes that issue though, but macOS is still preferred for application support.
