In general because routing is handled automatically. If it routes your packets through one interface it will keep routing through that interface because it has preference.
In this case they do what download boosters usually do and split the download into chunks, requesting multiple parts of the file and specifically routing those requests through different interfaces.
It's kinda a niche thing and it doesn't always work, and it mostly won't work with "internet" because you're not saturating your bandwidth most of the time, you're waiting on requests that'll invoke more requests once they are done.
