Which one is objectively better

Centos still uses the fucking 3.10 kernel, unless you're squatting on enterprise support problems there's no reason to use it.

Gentoo

Centos is backed by a real business, Debian is backed by the autistic hopes and dreams of basement dwellers.

>centos is more stable
That's literally your argument?

The one that exists. List of GNU/Linux distros that exist:
>1.- Debian
>2.- Fedora
>3.- Ubuntu [this item is going to stop existing soon]
Everything else is a pathetic meme that isn't used seriously by anyone anywhere in anything that matters. I didn't even know what the logo on the left was.

Ubuntu is just an Amazon backed Debian. Pretty good list otherwise.

CentOS is the free version of RHEL. It’s used more heavily than most distros since many clusters will install it over RHEL since they have their own internal engineers and don’t require support.

If debian is good enough for the space station it's good enough for me

wtf I hate Debian now

Slackware.

>be an OS
>have a bloody pubic hair for logo
You can't make this shit up.

ubuntu

Because you are growing plants in zero gravity and calculating the position of celestial bodies in your moms basement

How'd you know?

AntiX

Even HP uses CentOS-based distro in their enterprise hardware. Debian is fragile toy, admit it already.
>b-but muh cutting edge kernel version
Name really useful features of newer kernels, which you actually using.

>operating system is suitable for experiments in zero gravity
>"I don't need that"
>"I'm going to intentionally get a worse grade operating system"

Nice to meet a man with the job here.

Debian. It doesn't depend on some greedy corporation that break and rapes Linux each year.

A Debian using only the free repo is pretty much the only usable 100% free Operating System out there, so I'm gonna say Debian.
Plus CentOS has SELinux and that's pretty gay lmao

Debian is just mimicking CentOS with their own tools.
The actual upstream development is made by Red Hat
