2005

Redhat 8 runs on the 4.18

I don't know, I'm still on 3.16.69

I have already installed buster on my home server, i'm ready de~su

why use debian over fedora if you're a serious user who can't use meme distros

Same here, but in addition I'm moving my system on a new SSD drive.

It's the most recent lts. Keep beta testing, nigger.

I'm on stretch and it's a lot of work for me to switch distros

does it auto-upgrade?

sudo apt dist-upgrade

It seems that this depends on whether the distro name or "stable" is used to describe repos in the sources.list file

I'll probably upgrade by hand later as stretch will be supported until june 2020

>mfw my Ubuntu install on my server is still going strong

Updated from 16.04 to 18.04 without any problems, just updated everything and autoremoved a gig of old kernels.

That install has lasted years of distrohopping on my desktop, I'm hoping to keep it for a long time, so no I won't be switching to Debian and its older packages.

deb bad
rpm=good
