AMD Ryzen Zen 2 Launch Waiting Room

Zen 2 launches tomorrow, but no listings have yet gone up.

Who's ready to buy?
Who's waiting for the quarterly price drop?
Who's upgrading to X570?

I got a b350 motherboard. People telling me not to get the 3900x but my motherboard supports it. Are fucking retarded or me?.

Seems like it depends on which one you bought.

I bought the ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate a week ago because I won't care about PCIe 4 and would rather spend the extra money on a more premium board then for the new chipset. Not to mention the X570 version got a lot uglier; the X470 Taichi is the best looking mobo in the reasonable prices categoty imo. It looks like it's a good thing I got the Ultimate version since I'm waiting for the 3950x. The 2600 will have to do for a few more months.

looks like this brazilian broke the embargo or something

youtu.be/cIA9-2UDKHs

benchmarks looking good tho

Can someone link the best DDR4 3733 RAM?

how long till embargo lift?

Just wait for Zen 3.

I can't wait that long

Damn, that's quite a surprise to me, perhaps I'll be buying AMD after all

I remember watching Lisa talk during E3, she mentioned that most CPUs sold are between $199 to $300 dollars, so it makes sense to review something that most people will get.

It's really pathetic for such high-price products to have so little info before release. Just goes to show how cancerous the PC industry is; you don't even know which components will be available let alone at what cost until it's a scramble to the checkout button.

he is a retard not ocing 8700k to 5ghz and also using 2666Mhz RAM on both while 3666Mhz+ gives like 25-45% gains in gaming

will we get a /general/?

what do you mean brainlet? we already know the prices

It's finally time. I've been delaying updating my computer for years now. Pic is my current system, updating to:

>3900X
>2070 Super

>got scammed with the fermi 580
>unironically buying Nvidia again

Attached: im sorry you got hooked.jpg (700x3000, 262K)

yeah it's not fair the 8700k needs to be on LN2 pulling 300W and to have overclocked RAM so it can compete with a 65W CPU

I can't help that AMD keeps making shit cards that can't perform, sound like jet engines, and produce more heat than an RBMK reactor core.

>wins with gimped 2666mhz ram
>minha latencia
3600's uma fucking delid cia

FAIRNESS DOESN'T MATTER

Wait™ for™ Navi™

>uma fucking delid cia

and there's my queue for bed

Balanced benchmarking doens't matter!

ExDee ;)
I watched Chernobyl too fellow gentleman hehe

>benchmarking video games on 2666Mhz RAM in 2019.5

In the leaked benchmarks yesterday or the day before, the 5700XT was performing at or just under the 2070S, at a much lower price.
Personally, even without the price cut I probably would of bought the 5700, just for the linux performance. Fuck nvidia and their closed source drivers.

Wow! So you don't buy it until you know what you're getting. It's not a difficult concept, and this isn't a fucking race to own it first.

cringe

Pointless review. Most of his numbers are GPU bound so he's benching a 2080ti against itself.

>selling CPUs with 2666MHz stock supported RAM frequencies in 2019.5
Here you discover the idiocy of your post.

You really compacted a lot of lies in one post.
Vega 56 Pulse is more quiet than the 2060 FE. Won't even bother with the rest.

Yeah, $50 off was good enough for me. Now I'm thinking it's worth selling my Vega 56 and upgrading this generation instead of waiting until next. Not sure yet.

Agreed! We need more useful, real-world scenarios like playing at 480p on a $1000 graphics card

Only burgers do. The conversions, taxes, etc can't even be accounted for without leaks

Still not definitive enough
>2666mhz RAM
>Intel at 4.3Ghz

>upgrading this generation
What's your current system? I'm upgrading because I've been running an i7-2600 with 1600Mhz RAM for the past 8 years. Upgraded gpu to 980Ti in 2015, but besides that and an extra HDD but until now I haven't felt there's been a significant enough jump in performance to justify an upgrade.

Too much talking and gayms bullshit to get to a couple of interesting shots.

>he actually doesn't know why they use low resolution benchmarks

Attached: 1534894060506.jpg (1012x581, 65K)

I wonder if vcore isn't measured properly or there's room to slash power consumption in idle.

Attached: mpv-shot0002.jpg (1920x1080, 140K)

2666mhz is not stock supported RAM on either platforms, this BR trash had weeks to prepare and do it right and we get non OC'd 8700k on 2666mhz ram

Since you probably don't speak sopa de macaco, these are all done on 1080p with a 2080ti, and plenty of benchmarks are not hitting 100% GPU load.
This is a retailer, they're benchmarking what will be their "best value" combos under different performance brackets, they'll probably be selling discounted 3600s with fucking terrible motherboards and cheap ram to flip both of them and pretend it's a good deal.

>want to buy physically on launch day
>frys doesn't have them until Monday for some reason
>no microcenter near me

I guess online it is or wait for 3950x depending how much more performance the extra 4 cores will be extrapolated once reviews are out. Mostly looking for compilation benchmarks and database performance.

rip intel

Attached: a2.jpg (1246x637, 91K)

Oy! Vey! It's anudda shoa!

>csgo
What's the performance of the 9700k in that game? Considering CS:GO has always been intels go-to to try prove they perform better than amd, that's pretty impressive for the ryzen 5

actually massive cs jump

Since AMD is sandbagging by keeping the 3950X under lock until September, I couldn't care less.

I already have a 1950X. This hype died when AMD withheld its top-end SKU.

Is there a link to that spreadsheet?

RIP Intel 2019

massive gamecaches are what csgo craves

I'm tempted to go the full way, Zen 2, X570 board, and a 5700xt

But I'll wait for reviews fully, So far looking forward to it, Worried about the fan on the board for the 570 though so probably wont spend on anything crazy and keep it around 160-200

>gamecache
Fuck I hate marketing
Same here, low-end Gigabyte x570 board. What the deal with aftermarket Navi cards though? Is it gonna be a thing of waiting a month for them?

youtube.com/watch?v=Qxrax9iYOBo

I do not trust this info. I have an Asus x470 strix-f and find it difficult to believe that we have full support, while every single bios release is a fucking shit fest of bugs

Attached: 1561316655873.png (468x468, 653K)

I have 1600X ($200), b450m pro 4($48), Vega 56 Red Dragon($285), and SF600 PSU.

I can seldom use more cores for compiling. And I'd like to run more games at 120fps more efficiently. But it's not a big deal at all and I'm happy with how it performs currently. Plus, presumably power consumption would go down even more, but it's already good compared to my hot as fuck 2500k+7970 I had before.

If I can get $80 for my CPU and $220 for my GPU, the upgrade wouldn't cost that much so eh I could.

9700k is between those two in CSGO.

July 17th at the earliest. Could be August, though.

>gamecaches

I have an x370 and it doesn't support Zen 2. What's the point of staying on AM4, if you still can't upgrade? AMD fags love to make fun of Intel for switching out the socket so often, but this amounts to the same thing.

Attached: 1533977391463.png (1196x676, 1.05M)

1700 with a 370X (Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 5) and 4x8GB DD4-3000 RAM that only seems to run at 2133.

Is my setup basically unupgradable?

> twf you bought 9400f week ago

>2600, got it with the intention to upgrade to zen 2
>have a b450m pro 4, isnt so good with handling 3200 memory and i have blue screens etc.
>want to upgrade to x570 and 3900x or 3800x

because there are x370 boards that support zen2, which also supported zen+.

who else taking the b450 route

>tfw your gf, despite you screaming at her not to, bought a R5 2600 three weeks ago

Not sure if I believe those CSGO numbers... I mean I hope they're accurate, since I'm buying a 3600x~3900x today (still not 100% sure which, waiting for reviews), but I tried CS on a 2600x and it ran like shit, sometimes worse than my 7700hq overheating laptop...

>uma fucking delid cia
holy shit lol

1. Whats the idle power like with chiplets?
>Last I knew the first threadrippers had twice the idle power for twice the chips
2. Whats the most reasonable one to get for a zen2 build while waiting for the 3950 to come out?
3. Whats a good 32gb of ram speed and configuration for a zen2 build?

Just because you're a repellent subhuman that no XX would go within ten feet of even if paid to, doesn't mean everyone is, user.

Pretty sure I can just keep using my FX 8320 for a couple of years still so I'm fairly indifferent.

no.. you can get any ryzen 3000 series chip you want...

Shit what a dumb decision, thanks for giving me the blackpill

Getting a 3600 unless 3600x appears to be amazingly more worth it
Got a crosshair 6 hero for the price of a regular b450 board to go with it even though it's a waste I'm sure

>1
The same as with any other CPU architecture, idling rarely consumes a lot of power, even on something like a 9900k OC'd @5GHz
>2
Probably the 2600, of this benchmarks are true, you'll be getting incredible gaymen and productivity performance for $200, hell, most x570 boards will be more expensive than that
>3
no way of knowing for now, but at minimum memory clocks will hit 3200 since that's the official supported speed now.

Mfw my Asus x470 pro is 3.5 out of 4 and I'll be able to do some hot and filthy things to that 16 core CPU.

Attached: 1549823256642.gif (244x255, 605K)

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be buying the 3600 along with a 5700xt, but I want to see detailed benchmarks first. My 2600k and 290x held of for a really long time. It's a shame Intel has gone down the drain these past few years, the 2600k was an amazing processor.

On one hand, I could understand her desperation: she had a Core 2 Duo.
On the other hand, she's a stupid bitch and I only keep her around because she spreads on command.

Why does it seem that reviewfags like Linus or jayzcents only review the expensive shit then?

They want to rub your nose in how rich they are - off your (and other fucktard's) donations.

because they arent reviewers theyre entertainment channels who pretend to be reviewers

>
>

Because people want to see and compare shit they won't ever buy, specially when it's expensive, even if actually buying it would give them any tangible pros.

>CS:GO
ahahahhHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH get fucked you kikes.

Attached: samurai.png (500x454, 107K)

Navi will get reviewed on 9900K's because Zen 2 is too new to tell. Gonna have to wait for those Zen 2 + Navi/Turing reviews.

>requires airflow or borderline
what does that mean, that the mobo can't power the CPU?
doubt it for the 3600X lmao..

To be fair linus does review budget stuff sometimes, it's just that it doesn't interest the normies. He's also less pretentious than Jayz and hosts a tech expo so you could appreciate him for that.

Upgrading to 3700X, but only getting an X470 board, unless there will be affordable X570 ones. My budget is pretty limited, but I want to get something that'll last me 5 years at least.
Hoping to do GPU-passthrough.

Stutter was my only problem, between 10 seconds and a minute everything stuttered with even the sound skipping a bit.

intel is fucked, they have to cripple a lot of their CPU features for security while also having weaker chips than AMD

Attached: UaEscmK.png (1080x810, 990K)

What time are the listings going up on Newegg or Amazon? I need to get a 3600, X570 board, and 5700 asap

On the vrm.

This is going to be the worst day in history Intelbros. We had it all, we were kings of the world. And now it's all gone.

Attached: 725.jpg (320x320, 67K)

Same reason car reviewers are all about the shit 95% of their audience will never even get to sit in

I'm tempted to go out today and get a 3600 but Im probably going to wait and see how reviews compare it to a 3700x

I just bought the 3700X online
not sharing until the shit is shipped though, cunts

Get them while they're hot boys:
