Yes they do.

Yeah
>Significant - not marginal - RAM/VRAM differences
I smell some foul play here, there's some settings difference, some kind of post-processing in on and not the other. Just look at the windows in the big building on the right

just imagine how much the 3600 would destroy the i7 8700k if it had 3000 or 32000mhz ram holy shit

>600 fps
NOOOOOOOOOOOO MUH GAMING WE WUZ KANGZ N SHIET

there is nothing wrong going on here, move on

>both have 400+ fps
>RTX 2080 Ti
as if you need any of those CPus to play a game.

you don't. The CPU doesn't render graphics. What you do need is a GPU. And not a RTX 2080ti to play that game, a RX 570 would probably run that game just fine.

>32000mhz ram
yeah that's some pretty fast RAM you're dreaming of there user. not coming to market any time soon

i thought framerate did matter on intel even if you got over 700 fps

>8700k
Why don't they just compare it to an i7-980? It would be even better then since they're still $1100 new:

>600 gorillion

Wow that's cheap

csgo is a cpu intensive game brainlet, the game could be ran on integrated graphics

Well, it doesn't. And it never will. Further, Intel doesn't even make GPUs which are, in fact, the part of computers who produce frames.

That's a silly myth I've seen several paid shills here claim since retarded shills tends to work off the same outdated talking-point lists. CS:GO used to be very single-threaded. It's a 10+ years old game, after all. It's been able to work with multiple cores for half a decade now. I play CS:GO and the load's perfectly balanced among the CPU cores. CPU load is a non-issue, it's like 15% per core at 4k 60fps. It does not matter and no retarded fag-talk trying to defend outdated talking-points will change that.

Good point on windows, also look at those wires on top of the fences. They are anti-aliased on Intel.

*6 years old game

The source engine is way older than that.
And cs:go only got ported to source2 4 years ago. Which actually uses your cpu cores.

>csgo got ported to source 2 4 years ago
no it didn't
it just got updated to source 15 (2015) and textures, graphics, gun sounds, animations, hitboxes and pretty much everything got updated and improved

Intel died in 2018

They royally fucked up here. They need to dump most of managements bloat and immediately attempt to go balls out 7nm, new architecture that's not full of security vulnerabilities and can use SMT, chiplet, pcie 5, ddr5, 10nm GPU on die, whole line of 10nm addin cards, SOC/RISC V production on current 14nm fabs.

That's the only way Intel makes it out of this otherwise other silicon producers will become relavent and x86 will finally die.

To do such a thing would require long term vision of the future of computing and not the current shareholder focused strategy of consistent dividends. Intel would need to take out billions in loans to immediately ramp to 7nm production.

At the same time it has to develop a completely new architecture because the current one is a dumpster fire of security vulnerabilities

That's if they wanted to be competitive with AMD quickly, otherwise they'll be second fiddle to AMD for years which is likely what will happen because Intel has an accountant at the wheel trying to pretend moorse law still exists. We're near silicon endgame and then it becomes a commodity bulk production product.

>as an argument

Yeah. I'm playing a lot of source engine based games so this really looks nice. Just have to see if a 8 core is worth it over the 6 core or not. Maybe my 1600 will retire soon.

>They royally fucked up here. 10nm failed because they wanted to change too much at once. Now your ingenious solution is to change even more. Classic Jow Forums.

Intels node isn't actually that bad, sure they a bit behind now but you could still compete with 14nm++. It's an absolutely mature process with godly yields and great performance. Also since Intel owns the fabs they can produce it even cheaper. Now the real problem is the architecture. Zen2 has completely closed the ipc gap and with it's mcm design it's just way more scalable. Intel could be on 5nm and they'd still be in big trouble against zens mcm approach.

except.... it can't clock... as high... as intel... my dear AMDrone

wait for 7gHz intel's 10nm next year lol

>Aqua
Truly Bakagami.

you're an idiot. Intel tried the same approach with the Pentium D, back in the Athlon X2 days. It's the same reason why the Pentium was demoted to B-tier CPU.

10nm will be clocked slower, but has massive IPC gains.

>10nm will be clocked faster, but also has massive IPC gains.
fix'd that for you
screencap this: 7gHz cores with doble coffee lake's IPC

Intel had that old roadmap with Netburst. They planned to have 10GHz pentiums by 2010. they instead clocked lower with C2D to beat Athlon X2.

learn from history, kid.

You will never see intel 10nm.

I think only DOTA2 got ported into the Source 2

was just correcting the intcel saying 10nm 7GHz cope i9's are coming.

>Will still sell more CPU's via political lobbying, internet influencers, OEM bribery and team of lawyers.
that's good for consumers though, as intel is the better option anyways

so bless them

If Intel is the better option, why does it need those jewish tricks to sell?

it doesn't, but she does it for the good of the consumer cattle, unable to pick correctly

Benchmark looks suspiciously fake.
>600 FPS with 39% GPU usage
>422 FPS with 42% GPU usage
that just doesn't add up if it's tested with the same graphics card

Yes it does.

Yeah, and GPU using almost 700MB or like 65% more memory is also just a coincidence.

delid dis

These tests confuse me. Isn't the game when it comes to rendering hundreds upon hundreds of frames different than when it comes to 60 to 144 (the zone that actually matters), or does it actually translate to more performance across the board?

>7GHz
please no

>still pushing 7GHz
Kid, the limit is around 5.5GHz without extreme cooling. It's a physics problem, not a R&D problem.

but what if we have a 200 stage pipeline? could we get 6 ghz then?

No.

but the anonymous people on the internet told me I need to spend $1500 on a PC to play games (even though a $200 console plays them perfectly well already!)

I can think of one single game I've played where having 300fps+ made certain movement "tricks" possible or at least much easier (think stuff like bunny hopping etc), otherwise I've never seen a game it mattered on

that's the funny thing. Apparently, idiot fanboys think that the PC gamespace is ripe with must-play game, when the games that actually matter are console exclusives. It baffles my mind that PC gaming has so much little games that aren't already on console. And then the games you actually want to play (FF PC Ports, et al, emulation) all run at same-ish speeds for both brands...

It's worthless drivel now.

It might technically be possible, but the 200 stages would kill mispredict latency and the frequency term "f" in the dynamic power formula (a * C * Vdd^2 * f) means that "a", the percentage of time that portion of the CPU could be powered on, would be quite low.
