Download a program

>download a program
>create a new directory for it to keep things nice and neat
>the program creates it's own directory inside the one i created with the exact same name

>windows user
Cringe

just delete the directory you made and then copy the one it created to where you want it

I bet you're kissing prostitutes as well.

Don't forget the directory created under %appdata% to store settings and the registry keys because why the hell not

They're more deserving of respect than other women.
They're all the same, prostitutes just admit it instead of pretending they're "pure".

>downloads program
>program distributes fragments of itself in nearly every directory in the retarded linux FS
Cringe

>about half of .ZIP archives come in a folder and the other half don't have a folder so you have to check every single time before extracting
FUCKING RETARD NIGGERS JUST MAKE EVERYTHING EXTRACT TO A NICELY NAMED FOLDER GOD DAMNIT

>he doesn’t know that you can download a tarbell and unpack it into a single directory of choice
It’s sad how children don’t understand GNU/Linux

>tarball
>phoneposter
cringe

mv parent parent2 & mv parent2/parent ../ & rm -r parent2

>program completely breaks if you install it anywhere but C drive

This

zoom zoooom zooooom i am zoooomer

I’m on my way home user, I’ll be on the computer soon ^_^

>Installs program
>Litters files all over the file system

What if there was an option like
>extract to a folder named like the archive unless it has exactly one folder, then extract this folder here

>Have a lot of programs installed in windows
>My Documents becomes a fucking dump similar to the home directory on linux
>Game publishers try to make it more sane but can't even get their own shit straight
>Save file for an EA game could be in Games, My Games, MyGames, EA, EA Games, EAGames, Electronic Arts, onward to as many permutations as are possible
>Might have been placed in AppData which you can hardly even get to using normal windows navigation
The linux file system hierarchy is obviously retarded but let's not pretend windows makes any sense at all.

only the cute ones

Also even if you install it on a different hard drive to save space, most games will dump saves and screenshots into My Documents

>playing video games over the age of 13
don't you have any goals in life

Yeah you should have grown up hobbies like drinking and watching other people play sports, right? Autistic rage about "muh gaymes reee" is literally brainlet tier.

>grown up hobbies like drinking and watching other people play sports
it's sad how neet retards delude themselves into thinking that the only hobbies in the world are drinking, watching sports, and video games
>Autistic rage
the only autism is playing video games over the age of 13 instead of having productive hobbies

this creates race conditions

>he fell for the Linux meme
lol

What do you mean?
I've never had any issues with starting my shit from the drive which is not my OS drive.

I make $130k/year using GNU/Linux. Using windows is why you will be poor forever.

okay user, no need to point out the obvious

Yes we're all very impressed, run along now.

cope gametard

Assassin's Creed: Unity and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will crash on boot-up if they're installed anywhere other than the C: drive.

In that order

No games here I only have real hobbies like waiting half an hour for someone to reply to my post so I can say meme words at them.

gamertard only has 1 monitor and can only focus on one thing at a time, literal poor mental illness tier

I've avoided Ubisoft titles in the gaming world so I wouldn't have known.
What kind of behavior usually fucks things up in these cases?
Hardcoded paths?
Sounds a bit absurd that a flaw this big hasn't been patched.

> What kind of behavior usually fucks things up in these cases? Hardcoded paths?
That seems most likely. Back in the days of DOS, quite a few games were hard-coded to assume that the CD-ROM drive was D:, rather than actually bothering to check with the OS to see that this was the case, so if you had more than one hard drive, or had your disk partitioned, you were fucked.

Interesting.
Here's your (You).

but that would be to convenient

>looking for some obscure japanese rock CD
>find it on some blog that specialises in that shit
>literally have to go through 15 adlinks, each linking to the next one
>at last manage to get the archive
>inside is a textfile named PW and another archive
>it says like our facebook page and wait till we text you the password
I'll never be not mad

Attached: 1561224091649.jpg (804x585, 25K)

Reminds me of downloading 1080p JAV from a blog, file split into 30 chunks all behind adlinks

ahem

Attached: extract_0.jpg (650x419, 50K)

Damn, that's convenient. Wish 7-Zip had this feature.

It does

So why are you upset about the 99% of the world who don't have the same hobbies as you? How does it affect you in any way? It's literally the autistic "stop liking what I don't like" mentality.
