I built a false floor out of laminex/veneer to make cleaning easy and reduce wear and tear on the carpet. Its got an MDF backing to strengthen it.
I might try linoleum next time, this is about two years old and looks abit thrashed at a closer look.

I think they sound great after I refoamed them, but a bit heavy on the low end depending on the style of music. The amp has a dry cap or something going where too much uptime at too low volume causes crackling though.
