People are shitty when it comes to repairing computers. They expect you to be able to fix anything, for free. You take too long, despite your long list of other clients to do and if anything in the near future goes wrong, you're to blame. You also deal with a lot of disgusting computers, such as ones that are yellowed from smoking or full of cat hair, or worse, insects.

It's fun in theory but people are just shit in general.

As someone who owned a PC repair shop....It was WAY better in the 90s/early 2000s. Now you mostly end up doing phone screen repair and laptops.

boots on a woman are sexy as fuck (and practical).

obviously this isn't a candid photograph

Fuck... Just imagining owning a PC repair shop fixing ACTUAL PCs in the 90s sounds unbelievably comfy.

Sounds like hell, OP
You might occasionally get to fix something interesting, but 95%+ of your jobs would be a mixture of retarded boomers and staceys who can't fix basic shit and/or fucked something up in a retarded way
True those cases could be easy money, but they could also quickly burn out your interest unless you're really passionate about fixing computers

who is this demon semon?

This. In addition, making fixing computers your job will just kill any passion you had for them

It sounds gay AF man.

I owned a PC repair biz in the 90s-00s. I also did in-home repairs. I met all kinds of people and got to see in their homes. I do not recommend home repairs.

You know what sounds comfy? Wearing that body as a sleeve for my cock.

The ship has sailed. It used to be very profitable back then but hardly anyone uses a desktop pc anymore. Most people have laptops, smartphones or even tablets and those are a pain in the ass to fix ( soldered/non-standard parts).

t. used to work for a pc repair shop.

Fucking whores, I miss you all
T. Married wit children

>French
disgusting

My boyfriend missed my face and got his cum all over my laptop user! His ejaculations are so strong that it even shattered the screen on it :( will you fix it for me please, user? I can't pay you right now but that's okay right, we're friends aren't we?

in the 90s most boards/ ram was not made very well and had lots of sharp edges. Handling it was not fun. thus replacing or reseating hardware was an arduous task and most machines were so shit to work with because 90% of machines had basically no internal room to work with.

I smell a trap. Girls don't touch icky technology

>xhe passes well

Only if you suck me off like you did to him. Don’t worry, I won’t miss ;^)

what a cuck

ig : isabelle.rgb

Don't.
Just... don't.

>you remember how a year ago I brought in my laptop to you so you could remove all the malware and you charged me $50 for it?
Yes, yes I do. In fact, I keep a detailed log of everything I do with customers
>WELL TODAY MY FACEBOOK ISN'T WORKING AND IT'S YOUR FAULT REEEEEE

Unless you want to focus on business support only, don't do it if you value your sanity or your self-respect or your life.

This, I don't even do it anymore because I got tired of everyone coming in with their busted apple shit.

How does that prove she's French tho?

I'm really impressed at how consistent "she" is with that dress style.

not a trap. probably just virtuesignaling. i don't know any girl that actually likes messing around with hardware and if they do it's probably in their basement or something. not that it's a bad thing.

It shouldn't pass inspection.

This. I've had a computer repair business. Repairs are usually easy to perform, but people are shit.

looks like a generic ig whore to me

would you let her sit on your face?

This, so many shitty hp/acer laptop here

She got some pleb tier multimeter.
I've seen nothing interesting on those pictures. No hacking, no Linux, just mainstream consumers hardware.
Can she improve herself ?
I've worked in a small hardware shop as a student. It was boring.

she probably smells like rank ass smoke which is not a good smell.

Depends on your region, locally the bureaucratic overhead of small-scale entrepreneurship means you pretty much can't get into it without having dedicated person just for the paperwork.

That looks to be either the UT39C or UT39E. Cheap but nothing especially shitty about either of them. For some basic consumer electronics you would not get much value out of a fluke

>if anything in the near future goes wrong, you're to blame

>You dun installed this here Firey Foxy and now my bank account got hacked! Imha sue your ass!

does she actually do anything? doesn’t really look a working girl. Nixie is a working girl, this is just baiting tech fags.

it's obviously a tranny

Attached: 1554073970655.png (500x356, 97K)

>Nixie
who?

just get a in-house desktop support job
fix/build/image computers all day with none of the setbacks like and all the benefits of working for a company
only part that would suck is if your'e anti-social and dont like dealing with people face to face, but you wouldnt own a repair shop if that was the case either

what the hell is she sitting on there?

no idea, would you sniff it after she got up tho?

Looks like a 2009 mac pro.

Just started working at one like 3 weeks ago. Fucking sucks dude. Might quit today. Too much pressure with people's shit and nobody tells me anything. Would help if I wasn't a brainlet with computer software though.

nixie pixel
/ourgirl/

she looks like she hit the wall 10 yrs ago

They also never listen to your advises and they will come back in a week with the same problems.

damn zoomers

>this much cope

It isn't very profitable in this day and age. I do computer resale / repair, and it's just meh. The jobs are typically easy, but the people are complete and utter unreasonable niggers. Computers are a dying market.

>She got some pleb tier multimeter.
Dumb question I know, but what the fuck makes a good multimeter good?

I have a hand me down that was probably made in the 1980s, it measures voltage and beeps for continuity tests just fine. What does $300 Flukes do so much better?

I thought she was asian.
>into the trash it goes.

>that much smoke

Just wander around your town and see how many PC repair shops there are and how they are doing.
One shop manager told me he'd need to sell about one container load of stuff a month to stay open.
The only thing that was keeping him open was on-site service contracts.
Every 12-year old who can use the web is a competitor. Every unemployed kid needs stuff on his CV more than he needs money.
And he's also a competitor.
If you can find a vertical to specialise in go for it.

It's a girl, she worked on some tech youtube channel I forgot the name. Stop projecting your homosexuality everywhere.

These are pictures about specifically her though

lab grade stuff, accuracy, proper impedance for measuring over sensitive circuits, the way it computes values like rms eg: not just applying some formula but actually sampling the signal and doing integrals. etc etc.
so yeah if you just need to check if there are 5v on some point a $15 cheapo will do the job.

I'm not the one lusting over a tranny

>The only thing that was keeping him open was on-site service contracts.
i spent a lot of time around a family friend's pc shop in the late 90s and it was the same story.

he'd sell the odd pc or two but the real money makers were his contracts with the local medical clinics to maintain their networks and pcs and the software development he did for a couple other businesses (maintaining their line-of-business shit, back when that meant real desktop apps and not some web bullshit)

Literally nigger tier work since the mid 2000s even if you get companies as clients
Break/fix is shit tier

>IT Enthusiast
>fixes broken computers for money
ok

How did you get the job if you're a brainlet?

prolly knows a guy that works there honestly

>you remember i had my computer fixed here a year ago? Well "X program" isn't working anymore. It wasn't working quite right after you repaired it back then and i put up with it. But now it's not working at all.
>Can i have it fixed under warranty?

Fucking bullshit

>What does $300 Flukes do so much better?
Accuracy and reliability.

Those setbacks are still there except your boss can deflect their bullshit for you

Bench technician at an MSP here - It's honestly a lot of fun but I can't really see it making a ton of money. For what its worth, my boss and I manage about 800 machines across 70 clients (mostly SMBs such as drs offices) and the work can be overwhelming if you get a shitload of calls in at once. Otherwise it is absolutely comfy and you get to meet a bunch of people.

The key is getting businesses as clients to sign on to contracts. Just doing break/fix won't pay the bills unless you're just doing it on the side as a 2nd job.

Our flukes are great. They measure:
Length of cable
Which internal cable works or doesnt
Speed of cable
Where the break in the cable occurs
Other shit I haven't yet used

My fluke doesn't do any of that shit, but it's been kicking around since the early 80s and still works.
Inherited it from my father. The cheap shit I bought for ground course in electrics just stopped working within a couple of years.

I think this is what we have, I don't use it as much as my boss but this looks like it + has features I've seen him use

Very attractive, 10/10. I think that's how US female citizens hold cigarettes. As a US male citizen, I hold mine differently. She may have been influenced by our tobacco culture. Tobacco originated from the Americas. If you don't use tobacco, well, that makes me uneasy. In the US, you must be into tobacco. I can drink the juice of nicotine liquid 'n' such from the dried plant leaf. Tobacco is a great nutrient.

These are real. I was friends with a shop owner and worked with him for a few years. Almost bought the business since the location was pretty nice. It's super comfy but the second you have to do any work it gets extremely stressful. Almost everyday he had someone he wanted me to go bring a bill to because they never picked their shit up. Most of his money was made by fixing and selling stuff in his pile of crap that he bought from the local addicts for $0-20.

But also. He had a concert ready audio setup and spent all day shitposting on Facebook and playing guitar. It was so comfy. He closed the shop 2 months ago. RIP.

Late 90s / Early 2000s was peak PC kino

I pity the zoomer who never got to experience it

Attached: 500710692937138196.png (80x80, 10K)

just have all the equipment to repair computers/laptops/monitors in your garage/basement/etc
buy "for parts or not working" shit on ebay
repair
resell
profit

so apple was right all along.
just buy a new macbook when the keyboard dies.

I work for a big box retail store doing computer repairs. I'd say about 60% of the devices we get in for repair are laptops, 35% desktops and 5% phones. Sometimes we'll get people who want us to build there PC for them, that shit is pretty comfy as long as they didn't buy a shitty PSU.

Attached: 1552477085656.gif (500x384, 95K)

I do in home repairs for a living, although most of the time it's just explaining stuff to people and install software.

Like you said, people are shitty and act like their pc is a black box. If anything about that black box looks or works different they will instantly blame you that it's not working.

Honestly just ask a ludicrous amount for it if you're going to do it. That way people who can pay you won't care if you spend a little bit more time, and their pc's are not as disgusting

Biggest mistake is offering warranty. Just help them at a reduced price.

I want her foot in my mouth
Thanks for reading

I worked in a small business MSP in the 00's, which is basically the same.

A surprising number of finance and legal firms ran on whitebox PCs we basically built on the lowest possible budget. Hardware repairs and uninstalling Smiley Central was most of the job.

Nigger it's not 2000 anymore

you are a faggot

>itt: my boyfriend pays all the bills so I can cosplay as a geeky computer repairgirl for instagram

sounds about right.
