why does it require JS enabled to browse images?

DDG is comfyier

Just tried it with JS disabled on firefox and it works fine.

Fuck, you're right but only when I fully disable JS instead of what I was doing with uBlock Origin.

If you want to block JS on a per site basis I suggest uMatrix, it gives you complete control of what sites load in your browser.

I use
* * 1p-script block
* * 3p block
* * 3p-frame block
* * 3p-script block
* * inline-script block
But how can I make startpage recognize that I don't have JS enabled even with everything blocked?

I like startpage myself.

Searx is more based

You can do it with uBlock as well clicking this button to disable all js for that page, just tried and it worked.

It's Yandex. Yandex is the best search engine (: Please use Yandex:
yandex.com/

Hmm apparently there's a difference between blocking everything by default and using no-scripting: www.startpage.com true. Maybe it sends some info used with feature detection?
