$1000 USD business grade Lenovo Thinkpad X390. A Modern laptop in 2019 with Lenovo's signature 1366x768 TN display. It wouldn't be a Lenovo laptop without that feature.

my T430s has a 1600x900 res screen, and it was $100

Based Lenovo using their clout to force developers to continue developing applications that run on 768 line displays.

>it's true

Oh no no no

I had a 10" netbook back in the day with that resolution. It was nice enough but it's absolutely intolerable on a larger screen. Why isn't it dead yet? Why?

You also forget that Lenovo's 2013 consumer models also come with 1366x768. That said, Lenovo produces laptops with alternate screen sizes, though I don't know why you have to bitch about this like Jow Forums's your personal blog.

I have a X230 (like literally half of Jow Forums). It's a quite ok res for small screens, but for anything else is inexcusable.

Nothing to do with lenovo. My new lenovo is 1920×1080 IPS. Thinkpads are business machines so they don't need a great display. They will mainly be used for text.

>tfw my 2007 thinkpad is 1400x1050 IPS and some even older thinkpads had 25**x15** ips or something like that
also fuck 16:9

i am trying to imagine buying a $1000 laptop in 2019 with a 768 display. I cant do it.

> they don't need a great display.

I genuinely can't tell whether this is a cheap joke or Jow Forums showing they have no clue about anything.

lel who do they think they are, apple? Like with the iPhone xr

Stacy from HR who gets assigned a new Thinkpad every 2-3 years doesn't give an absolute fuck about what resolution the laptop is.

Thinkpads are fetishized a lot by everyone here and the rest of the tech enthusiast world but at their basest they're just throw away corporate machines. They need to cater both markets, the corporations that buy 50k of them a year and individuals who actually want a Thinkpad.

Human brain can't proceed more than 1366x768

Is there literally any reason to buy this over an xps13.

I got one of these for $80. Nice machine, didn't have a use for it though so I spun it to (who I'm assuming is) a fellow Jow Forums-tard for $250.

this, corporations that buy them in large quantities dont give a fuck about the resolution, they want them cheap, they will be docked to an external monitor/projector 99% of the time too. if you individual want a thinkpad with better screens you have the options.

>not buying x495 for $800 with 1080p
sasuga shitposter-kun

better keyboard over the dell

That and why do we still have such shitty webcams, if webcams are going to be this shitty, I would rather have the webcams removed and just have a thinner bezel.
