hows it feel to be stuck on an old dusty processor, Jow Forums?
Hows it feel to be stuck on an old dusty processor, Jow Forums?
not bad
I spent $310 for the system so not bad.
>he didn't wait for Zen 3
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
I'm actually considering waiting for it if it's really just 1 more year
then if the future processor is at least 2 years after that
2500k strong :'(
Waiting for all my parts to arrive :(
>his ryzen doesn't come with a waifu mousepad
pretty comfy just waiting on the 3900x to come back in stock so I can finally retire my 2500k
waiting for DDR5
2600k master race reporting in, i'll probably upgrade to ryzen in a few months though.
can you post the cpuz bench
?
Feels ok actually.
Feels really good.
doing somewhat ok
no waifu pad no ryzen buy
fucking asians get free shit
Imagine buying this
Where are you bought this?
>waifu mousepad
Where are the wrist wrest boobs?
Feels bad man. I need those sick IPC gains.
korea i think. i remember there is a thread about this particular mousepad
Wouldn't know. How does it feel having an inferior CPU and being exposed as a poorfag?
based
why do you larpers never post guts?
terrible
i'm getting a 3800X asap
>4.3
Oh no no no LOOK AT THE TOP OF HIS CHIP
feels fine to be honest
In gaming scenarios, your chips rapes OP's
AMD is for poor people.
Currently have the 6700k at stock speeds for the summer.
Bought into Z170 + 6700k because it was a 14nm "tock" cycle and wanted to avoid the trainwreck known as X99. Little did I know back then, Z170 was where the intel clock would break and never tick tock ever again.
I even bought a high end motherboard thinking there would eventually be a 6c or even 8c chip to upgrade too. Too fucking bad the assholes at intel never supported Z170, even though the circuitry would support it just fine and they keep rehashing skylake anyways.
On the bright side, this system will live on as a server because it has literally never crashed or had any compatibility or weird errors. Skylake has been rock solid from day one, and will continue to be stable because intel is still rehashing skylake.
I'm switching to AMD if the 3950X comes out and intel has literally nothing.
Feelsbad to be a hedt cuck with last gen's performance when mainstream is undergoing an IPC war
Why would I change something that meets all my needs?
who /5GHz/ here?
Feels shitty. Should have a new laptop by the end of the year.
What's up with that voltage reading ?
me
HEDT really got fucked over the last few years, especially on intel. Everything below 16 cores on X299 is currently pointless, and when the zen 2 threadripper chips come out, the HEDT platform will simply cease to exist for intel.
worst korea
3900x is $590 here though
Why gooks got the nice shits?
>Technology: 7nm
Only Qualcomm and Apple have true 7nm CPUs
AMD's 7nm contains a 14nm I/O section so it's not true 7nm
Time to ditch your Poozen and upgrade to a Snapdragon 8CX
But my athlon 200ge is still listed in /pcbg/!
Mod your BIOS and slap a 8700K/9700K in there
>3.930V
May as well directly feed the orange wire to the CPU at this point
oy vey
>boot up my ryzen pc
>chipset fan starts up *VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*
>quickly plug in an usb stick with cpu-z
>start cpuz, take a screenshot and save it to the usb stick, just in time before my ryzen motherboard corrupts windows again
intel btfo
Nothing, 4690 does everything I need
>14nm
OHNO NO NO NO NO
Traitors get the bullet
I have that cpu. Worth keeping over a haswell upgrade?
>hows it feel to be stuck on an old dusty processor, Jow Forums?
You tell me.
I have a i9-9900K and as we all know 9 is higher = newer = better than 3.
Getting my 2600 delivered later today. Feels good bros.
i dont give a shiiiiiiiett
3700x has a 65w TDP? What the hell
So does everyone on board use windows?
still happy running i7 920 @ 4.2ghz.
>14nm
next year will be zen2+ or 7nm+ what ever you want to call it
>just pay $350 for a 2 year old cpu, goy!
>he buys poorfag cpus
Watch this
Very comfy, at least it doesn't corrupt my data
So will there be Zen 2+ or not? Everyone keeps saying we're going straight to Zen 3 but at the same time people say Zen 3 is going to be just a minor update like Zen+ so the naming doesn't make sense as Zen 3 naming implies significant improvements. Make up your minds already.
Ohnonono intcel cope is reaching critical mass
Have an X5670, stock. I'll eventually get a 3[7,8]00X but not till they iron out that rdrand stuff that was causing Linux boot failures.
What GPU have you paired with it? FX-6300 here and curious
>Zen, Zen+ was chiplet to chiplet
>Zen 2 is chiplet to I/O
ahh, the "Zen 3" naming makes me wonder if they're gonna do another major architectural change
how would they even improve it?
Okay but... why did you get a christmas themed mouspad in July?
>how would they even improve it?
Yeah but if they go with 3 instead of 2+ and then just give minor improvements like Zen+ they'll really earn it to be called Another Massive Disappointment.
Really good since i payed 150 euros for it brand new 2 years ago. Of course it was stolen from an amazon warehouse.
Who needs under 45nm anyway
Too bad it has shit outdated instruction set. Otherwise a Phenom II x6 (x4 not so much though) would be very definition of FineWine
>falling for the upgrading meme
STAY SALTY SNAILCORN
Bought at release
>i5-8600K
Drunk impulse buy, how fucked am I?
Eh, I'll be fine for another 3 years.
Not too bad, my 11 year old core2duo still does what I need
Still running a 2500k just fine. Maybe I'll get a ryzen 3600, maybe I'll wait for zen3, who knows.
>unironically getting 4c8t in 2019
>Inferior CPU
But AMD obliterates Intel in everything? Besides muh infantile games of course but we're all adults here right
i did this too, i needed a new motherboard in early 2017 and my choices were excavator or skylake. i picked skylake because amd still seemed like a train wreck. i got a 7600k for dirt cheap in late 2017 and thought that it would be mostly future proof but turns out the firesale was because intel was dropping a new motherboard chipset. should have seen that one coming
still gonna overclock this bad boy to ridiculous temps and use it until its entirely obsolete because i don't give a fuck as long as it performs, and its performing great. it won't when 6 cores become the norm but it'll be a while before that becomes a barrier for my computer enjoyment
2700K? Run the games I play decent enough.
Wait for shit lake 10nm amd btfo
I have the based 3700x running with no issues on my x470 board. When Oracle engineers are working to make mitigations for Intel's hyperthreading, you know all their CPUs are pozzed
>10nm
in 2030?
