Is there any book better, simpler and smaller than this for C++ beginner? Goddamn thing is nearly 1000 pages. I'm on 100 page and Bjorne still pushes me phylosophy of lang, comparison of "simple" C++ to C, and how it is better than C.

unfortunately no. c++ is a kitchen sink language so a large book is necessary.
Brainlet detected.
I just started learning from the book on the sticky, C++ for everybody 2nd edition , should I switch to your book instead?
This is the beginner one. Still 1000 pages though.

I wish i knew, I dont care really in programming but he only language I was curious about was C++. If someone here knows a good begginer or best C++ book or video that give all the basics , share the knowledge.
Is codeblocks the best for begginners?

Watch CPPcons with Bjarne and Sutter, they're really good.
shit
Code blocks gets the job done and has portable project files. If you want a more pleasant GUI, get visual studio community or set up vscode yourself. On linux, grab clion.
How does tour compare to principles?

You don't need to read the whole thing, though.

>variables are modified freely
Common LISP is about as practical as you can get in terms of being a kitchen sink of everything you'd want. People who claim it's 'academic' have no clue or just learned some crap about it in an intro to languages course. The biggest issue is its lack of good GUI libraries.
Sutter is a pig fucker
effective.
