I'm not even a professional and I can tell you that it sucks
no content aware tools
terrible plugin and font performance
worse latency
but now if you want to say it's better because no cloud shit and less bloat you'll have a point
but in the end
FUCK ADOBE
FUCK CLOSED SOURCE BOTNET
INSTALL KRITA
DO NOT INSTALL GIMP BUT PREY THAT A SANE REPLACEMENT MIGHT APPEAR AND DO THE NEEDFUL

Why would anyone install gimp if they wanted a paint program? Almost as silly as installing krita when you need a photo editor.

ps can do both

Oh hell yes, CS2 is my go-to Photoshoop software, GIMP babies GTFO.

Winamp, I was still using it til I switched to linux earlier this year, and then I went and put a Winamp skin on a dif program because, god damn it I can't escape. I have problems.

you're sane

u start op

>krita to replace ps
the kind of shit you only see in Jow Forums. Not even the krita team considers it an image manipulation program, just a drawing/painting. You are probably well unaware of how powerful gimp is at it's field, it completely replaces other manipulators, only lacking really high level industry shit, which most users and professionals don't need. Krita can't do most of what gimp does when it comes to manipulation, but it's much better than gimp's mypaint painting engine. Use both for their specific areas like a chad; like me, an artist.

Only to a certain extent, the painting capabilities of photoshop is for manipulating images, just like gimp, not to make art. Krita is better at painting than photoshop, the real competition would be with paint tool sai and similar.

why do you think I mentioned both krita and gimp you fucking gimped retard

>freetard can't even read properly
>DO NOT INSTALL GIMP BUT PREY THAT A SANE REPLACEMENT MIGHT APPEAR AND DO THE NEEDFUL
The absolute state of open sores.

>>krita to replace ps

thats what my reply as all about you fucking donkey
>You are probably well unaware of how powerful gimp is at it's field, it completely replaces other manipulators, only lacking really high level industry shit, which most users and professionals don't need
yeah who needs things like CMYK, multiple color spaces, correct color processing, proper handling of vectors without forced rasterization, good UX, compositing/clone/spot/ correction/yada yada yada that doesn't suck balls, embedded files, proper non destructive like ps, I could go on but I already gave you too much Yous

Total Commander (formerly Windows Commander).
26 year old and still kicking.

4 C H A N

Basically any Unix tool.

apache deserves a major shoutout

the cs2 in general would be enough feature-wise for modern dtp and editing. newer versions only got mor comfortable for professionals and better export options for xml.

used it for years and switched to double commander.

It also had the best keygen music

emacs is shit.

Emacs isn't UNIX.

this, but Adobe Photoshop 7

windows xp. will post screenshot from it later

Gens and ZSNES.

Well maybe in this way but other ways, maybe not :)

ZSNES is literal garbage. Even using NO$SNES would be a better option for a pentium 3 win95 toaster

You can improve gimp's paint capabilities quite a bit by checking the brush presets item in windows>dockable dialogs. And there's also mypaint brush support.
Still not as nice as painting with krita, but it's an improvement. Also create custom brushes, tweak presets etc. Remember the little recycle button thingie is reset.

Q-Dir is better

Kega Fusion is the best Genesis emulator and fairly old

you need PS CC or newer for decent raw support

2016 is shit, MS even flew some pajeets from the excel product team out to us so we could demonstrate to them how it's slower and more unreliable than 2010

based. still using it

>do not install gimp
Yeah i saw your mention to gimp
people who do digital work don't need cmyk. You start needing what gimp doesn't have when you enter print/high level industry, apart from that gimp fills all the needs for basically all prosumers, freelancers, and small/medium companies. (There are workarounds for cmyk in gimp, but i won't count that)

I remember you could nab free CS2 when they shut down the old servers to replace them with Creative Cloud.

Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows. Even works on Win 10.

Attached: 123_2019-07-17_232353.jpg (544x484, 71K)

Oh, so that's where apache stole their new logo from.

>yfw every single piece of software this applies to is totally useless today

Attached: ban8r.jpg (620x543, 25K)

Can confirm that office 2016 \ 2019 is awful compared to office 2010.

A man of taste

>Lotus 1-2-3
oh god
my dad, an ex IBMer (he even workd for Lotus when they were owned by IBM) loves 1-2-3. He literally can't use Excel or OpenOffice.
He makes me install it on every system. Then it fucks things up... how I don't know.

>CS2
It is because it is free, right?

if you want a good no-bullshit image viewer

been using it for at least 10 years now

Attached: irfanview.png (1153x748, 40K)

I use Winamp on Windows 10. It just works.

AIMP is better.

anyone can confirm if the latest of this shit can open the same filename in different paths simultaneously?

Most plebs wouldn't notice, but Photoshop CS2 window management is hopelessly broken even on Windows XP, thanks to security updates to GDI.

How is an image editor that does not have a multiview that allows you to select a directory and a specific file from the main interface good? Hurr gotta go manually fucking open a damn file from a dialog box every time I want to browse different directories hurr.
It's sad that to get a fucking good image viewer for Windows I have to run GNU/Linux on WSL, Xming, and run geeqie that way. Sure, the old gqview is available, but it's very feature-poor compared to geeqie, and it's not for Windows.

Download audacious
Go to options
Use winamp skin
Enjoy your winamp with modern fucking features

there's nothing wrong with gimp faggot

>*crack*
>*psssst*
Oh yeah, that takes me back.
>*sip*
Those were the good old days, I remember it took about 30 hours to download CS2. Would sometimes open the keygen just to listen to it.

the ONLY reason that I'm using a version of photoshop newer than the 'white rabbit' CS5 beta is because the UI scaling is marginally less broken at higher resolutions
the UI scaling is still SUPER crap in every version of PS that has it, but in older versions it doesn't even exist
I have fond memories of photoshop CS2 and CS3 on an old power PC macintosh (as I recall)

35 years of unquestionable reliability and absolute market domination and counting.

Attached: windows-logo.jpg (1200x800, 51K)

it cant

Attached: VisualStudioHeader.png (800x418, 143K)

Damn, Irfanview! I remember my grand dad always had it installed on his 2 computers. Until I switched to GahnuSlashLoonix I did also use it on one machine.

It's visually bloated and lacking in features by todays standards, but it has that 90s GUI comfyness going on.

Kinda want to get the logo on a shirt or sticker, too!

Attached: erez.jpg (670x236, 19K)

On the subject of keygen music. Pretty much all tracker software has barely changed at all since the early 90s.

Attached: 6jX59a7.jpg.png (640x400, 36K)

why pic related of course

Attached: omgmpv.jpg (1200x630, 225K)

Addictive

ps is kinda in hot water now that affinity is heating up. plus I dont even bother pirating it anymore, krita does what i need just fine
