What do you guys like to listen to while programming? I love listening to podcasts, but I have trouble focusing on the story/conversation if I'm actually working.
I used to listen to Music for Airports by Brian Eno for years, but I've kind of played it out now and the mood is honestly not what I would describe as comfy.
Whats some comfy & encouraging listenings, Jow Forums ?
so? did you like it? the last monologue song always moves me

Would love some links, user. BoC is pretty based. The counting in one of their songs disrupts me though.
Pretty much anything sans lyrics or lyrics in a language you don't understand (although sometimes your brain searches it for meaning, best stick with no lyrics) is good for studying.
I am the type who likes having music on during pretty much every waking hour. Quiet just feels wrong somehow.

Synthwave Mixes on youtube, usually. I've been starting to listen to mixes of 80s Japanese pop too and I'm loving it though.

Devin Townsend has alot of nice albums! Would recomend: Addicted, Epicloud, Ocean Machine and Deconstruction. The Z2 at Roayal alber hall and the Retinal Cirkus are nice albums if you want to hear him live!
Stam1na for when you want to listen to metal but not get distracted by the vocals. Since they sing in Finnish i dont register the vocals.
From this guy I liked: Good Morning America, News at 11, Palm Mall 1 and 2, ショップ @ ヘルシンキ (the album of a stairway), lofi, Audi is a hit or miss and With Love: catsystemcorp.bandcamp.com/
something kind of droning. it just keeps the distractions at bay.
Jayden Watson
I want to add also: Some stuff published here is good, usually re releases of already existing works: palm84.bandcamp.com/ Everyone knows of this but try some of this, hit or miss: businesscasual87.bandcamp.com
Would like to also thrown in eco virtual, internet club, and infinity frequencies are all very good as well. Infinity frequencies especially has a ton of weird concept albums that are free to download. Would also recommend checking out the album "skeleton.zip". The best part of vaporwave is crate digging and finding some good stuff. Your best bet is to just find a particular flavor of vaporwave you like and check it's tags, OP.
dub. Get familiar with the genre, then listen to Prince Jammy - Computerised Dub. It's programming: the soundtrack.
For peak "lofi hip hop to chill/study to", the Samurai Champloo OST is actually God tier. It's 4 albums (Departure, Impression, Masta and Playlist). Ignore the Reddit fanbase. I have a lot more recs if you liked those
just cant imagine how autistic you have to be to listen to this for more than three minutes

I listen to the sound of my poo flinging drones flying off after tracing the IP addresses of snobs on this board.

I'd say the same before I've started listening to these. I dunno, it just works for me. I started with psytrance because of psychodelics and then moved to more and more fast genres. Similarly to just trance it puts me into kind of trance and helps to focus and feel wakeful. Also classical hardcore(team grimoire, gram, laur) is so fun.
