after getting a proper smartphone note 4, my interest in smartphones dropped to 0. it does everything i need to do. Not interested in smartphones anymore. I'm now more interested in UMPC's than ever. (example gpd pocket 2, one mix exc.) Since they can run a full blown OS will be dumping smartphones in the future.

Consider this: if the phone costs you $1k, you can take home less money and save on taxes, then the company writes off the phone, so you are saving money on two fronts to make the phone more affordable, after you get a new phone sell your year-old near-perfect-condition phone to recoup some of the money spent. I don't have numbers right now but you can always have the best phone for like half the longterm cost basically as long as you are contributing to the economy. People do the same sort of thing with cars and laptops among other things
