C++ is good. Never used Lua other than for envoy configurations

New language with a split community on how to manage dependencies.
No data structures std library

Some things I do like about go are:
Compiles with the runtime in the binary.
Opinionated about formatting.
Simple type system.
Channels and goroutines.
Fast compile time.
