Why aren't you using JS?

Someday after years of working on enterprise applications written by people who didn't read any msdn sheets, you will ask yourself why you worked hard for that life sentence.

Why bother learning another language when JS is the same thing at the end of the day? (In b4 static typing)

Rust should disallow unsafe code. Otherwise it's all just hype.

No generics.
Error handling is verbose.
Interface{} everywhere with typecasting.
New language with a split community on how to manage dependencies.
No data structures std library

Some things I do like about go are:
Compiles with the runtime in the binary.
Opinionated about formatting.
Simple type system.
Channels and goroutines.
Fast compile time.
