Not sure what you're asking? Are you asking if you can plug a laptop into 2 monitors, a keyboard, and a mouse and use it like a desktop? If so, absolutely yes. I do it all the time at work.
Are you talking about a middle-ground between a desktop and laptop? That would be a mobile workstation, or gaming laptop, and you can get those from the business or consumer pages of most laptop manufacturers respectively. Naturally you could hook those up to external monitors if you want.
Are you talking about a laptop that has 2+ monitors built into it? There's been experiments of that nature. There's some ancient thinkpad that had a tiny screen that pops out on the side. More recently, Razer had an experimental tech demo at some expos a few years ago called project valerie that had 2 monitors that fold out from the sides of the laptop screen giving you a triple-monitor gayming setup.

I should break the question down more. Could I connect my desktop to the laptop and use the laptop as a second screen?

Could both the laptop and desktop be on at the same time and share things on their seperate storage devices to each other's screens?

I'm trying to start my computer after putting in a new hard drive and now I'm not getting any sata power.
I've tried changing the cords and different slots but the hard drive won't even spin.
I get into the bios just fine so everything else seems to be working.

I can turn my head sideways on my VA TV and it seems fine

It changes every time.
Otherwise RAM would be unusable because you'd need to reserve space for every existing application and can't reuse it twice.

I wanted to play the deus ex revision mod with proton, but the game never launched(Original worked). I tested it on my Laptop, which has a very similar setup. It worked completly fine out of the box. I also noticed that this problem also exists with Deus ex HR.
I am using Manjaro KDE because I am lazy.
Does anybody got any Ideas?

It will usually power up and spin. Some drives could be set to delay start but I think this stopped with SCSI drives. The electronics will run in 100% of cases.

If the drive isn't powered then it won't be affected; when the drive is off, the heads are parked in a specific location and lifted off the platters.

Am I wrong when I blame my lack of drive, knowledge and intellect on low IQ? I think not

how well does a Roku handle a finicky wifi connection speed?

tldr firestick is awful with my residence's unreliable connection because of it's connection handling and i'm stuck with some manner of addon input to the television. no matter which way i go short of replacing the tv it will cost about the same
it frequently bottlenecks the connection then decides it's no good and doesn't try the network again until i manually disconnect and refresh it to reconnect, this causes major issues with the remote as well. sometimes it holds out fine if i can get into an app or video steam but frequently it's difficult or impossible to get to that point because of the content heavy menus

before i waste money on a new dud is a roku better about this kind of stuff?

I currently have 1 hard drive locked with Bitlocker on my Win7 installation. I'm about to change my CPU/mobo and will do a fresh W10 install from scratch. Will my locked HDD be usable directly on that new W10 installation, or do I need to do remove the whole Bitlocker protection beforehand on W7?

BitLocker is cross-windows. It shouldn't be any problem unlocking drives whether you are on Windows 7, 8 or 10. I have unlocked drives on Windows 7 when I had encrypted in on Windows 8 for example.

Do note though however; one of the feature updates on Windows 10 (I think it was 1511), introduced a new encryption scheme (AES-XTS etc), so if you encrypt with the new encryption method, you cannot unlock it on previous Windows versions. this should not affect you however.

either you decrypt the drive now, or you go ahead and fresh install Windows 10 and simply unlock it and continue using it as is. If you can't unlock it on windows 10, simply go back to windows 7 and decrypt or just format and restore from backup (because you do have backup of the encrypted drive, right)?

I have so many pirated games on my Windows install that I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable, I have a bunch of exclusions in Windows defender for cracks and loaders, and so on so I don't really feel comfy purchasing things online, doing my banking and other shit, I could be part of a botnet for all I know (I actually know a lot about windows and I'm a windows sysadmin at work, from what I can tell, there is nothing suspicious going on on my system).

So yeah, I wanted to split my OS and use Windows as a dumping ground for pirated shit and nothing else, and move all my actual work and personal business to Linux. What would be the best distro to use as a daily driver? I tried Mint and KDE Neon, Mint was too basic and lacked many features I wanted, such as a fucking thumbnail view for the firefox file uploader, so I went to KDE Neon which is pretty fucking great in comparison even to Windows in terms of customizations, but I swear this thing is riddled with bugs, some are experience-ruining, such as right clicks activating menu items for no reason if you click while moving (bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374311 of course it was noticed ages ago and never solved). I really wanted to like KDE Neon but it's so fucking buggy it annoys the fuck out of me, i keep noticing new bugs and roadblocks (such as mounting isos, apparently there are Dolphin plugins that can mount isos but guess what, somehow even if I install them they don't actually show up in Dolphin) every single day.

Should I try some other distro, and if so which one? Or should I just do two installs of Windows because all linux distros are buggy and annoying to use in the long run?

aw man, I wanted to make a script that would get score of mame games and store it to a database which would have been used for a website for a hiscore listing of old arcade games, I actually used cheat engine as memory scanner and momory was changing but still hoped there could be some way, I read about pointer scanning of an address but cheat engine was saying it could take terabytes of data

I got a bunch of torrents stalled at 100% while the content pane says something like 99.X%, availability is at 100%, though.

There are lots of books.
It involves using a mathematical function that nobody knows a computationally efficient way to reverse (without the password). It could be reversed without the password, but it could take practically forever to compute it.
