enjoy your housefire

AMD processors are good for winter, Intel is better for summer days.

I just switch around processors during seasonal changes

Uh, bro. Intel processors make more heat.

Zen 2 can heat up your room when idle, Intel can't

Power consumption = heat output, brainlet.
Temperature is not the same thing as total heat output. The tip of a match and a forest fire could have the same peak temp, but one puts out far more heat.

Sure

Yep, the buyer's remorse is in full swing.

Intel cucks falling for the Ghz meme again

Didnt this basically happen?

2070s, 2080, 2080s all use tu104.

Nice user, got my 9700K up to 5.1GHz with only 1.31V/1.345V in actual use. Gonna try for 5.2 next and upping it to 1.34V but it's already running at 89C on 100% load so gonna add some padding on cooler backscrews to increase mount pressure and getting some paste to replace the Kraken X62 stock with.

5.3 is probably a dream though, even if I'd still have some room voltage-wise (could probably up it to 1.37V bios/ 1.4V actual use) I'd need some crazy improvements in temps compared to now to run it under 90C. Might try it anyway for shits and giggles but most likely gonna end in failure.

How's the 2080 super treating you so far? As I understand it's a little better than 1080Ti but worse than 2080Ti yes?

If I was building a new rig I'd probably go for that one too or the 2070 super but maybe the new Ryzen processors than the Intel ones. Was the 9700K better value than the 3900 ones?

He's a threadlet.

This. Intel is better for gaming, AMD is better for unzipping files.

That's 30MHz, not 3.

even worse

>2070 ultra

lmao threadlets having to set their house on fire to get usable performance out of their neutered trash fires

>he defines himself through consumer purchases
How does it feel to be a bugman?

>18% higher average IPC uplift according to intel
>internal company estimate obviously skewed by adding a basic as fuck AES accelerator to a decompression workload

Its going to be a 5%~ uplift in real workloads.

75% faster than dirt slow is still dirt slow, even if you have to cheat and use a specially compiled version of a software no one fuckin uses

Bro next time just save up some money and buy an intel, no need to seethe so hard.

I think at this point only slavs and spics from /v/ engage in these underage hardware wars.

I mean
is me, you disgusting consumer plebian.

FYI Zen1 already had dedicated AES 256 accelerators, Epyc uses them for memory encryption.

Yeah 16GB RAM is a little low today if you wanna overclock, fuck's sake just Windows running takes like 4GB and have a browser with some tabs, music player and some programs up too and that leaves like 8GB for your CPU to utilize which will bottleneck it if it's a good one.

Personally I went for 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 for my 9700K. Regular CL16 would probably have been fine but figured I'd splurge a little bit.

Checked and based

I play games at 1440p. There's no incentive for me to buy anything in Intels lineup. The 3700X I bought will last for 6 years, is more secure, cheaper and overall a better choice.

No hate though, if I wanted to upgrade last year I'd have bought a 9700K and been happy, but now, there's no Intel product actually worth buying.

Attached: DR6 side.jpg (1000x1000, 496K)

Source on this?

100w being rejected into the atmosphere
125w being rejected into the atmosphere

Tell me user; which is rejecting more heat into the atmosphere?

Depends, is Intel as a whole the supposed winning side? Because I'm still on a 3930K without any real intention to upgrade at the moment at the moment.
Maybe I'll change my mind for a Ryzen 3900X+ sale, but for the time being I'm quite content with what I have.

>2019
>8 threads
fucking why man

My 10 year old laptop has 8 threads. gg intel

here is your 5ghz retard

Attached: 1560209547468.jpg (896x489, 74K)

shit, now I see he took the bait on a 2080 super. even worse.

3600/3700x/3900x and 5700XT master race here.
Intel is superior in gayming, but at that point not even your mother can tell the difference. I do tell the difference when I'm rendering or encoding and also have the luxury of upscaling gaymen to 4k with negligible differences yet still keeping big framerates,

(You) are meant to suffer the buyer's remorse, not make us suffer it.

I assumed that was common knowledge, but shit Jow Forums always finds new ways to disappoint me.

look at his CPU, busy speculating away

>he takes double the time to render the video
>can't even render if wanted to game
Yeah, no thanks.

Why are there 7 shill threads active at the same time

Performance doesnt matter
Price doesnt matter
Cache doesnt matter
Cores doesnt matter
Hyperthreading doesnt matter
Security doesnt matter
Number of lines doesnt matter
Heat doesnt matter
Power consumption doesnt matter

That's a very light list
