PDFs are such a goddamn disaster. I've worked with them in PDFBox and I'm amazed that they ever gained mainstream adoption. What an unintuitive piece of shit format.

I still don't understand why PDF readers need to be updated. Has the standard changed any since it was introduced? My 486 opened PDFs just fine, but my i5 needs "light" software to do it because Acrobat was to fucking heavy
