If the encryption is backdoored, why even use it? Five Eyes is literally set up so that those countries can spy on each other, without having to spy on their OWN citizens, so if you provide a backdoor to them they're doing to use it to spy on all communications, rather than targeted surveillance.

i'd have every member in the organization generate unique encryption keys for communication with every other member with extra keys for emergencies (if the mains are compromised, secondary keys will be written down and hidden by each member).
if someone is busted by feds he can only provide his own keys, if they get his communication device he can go use his second key to warn everyone else.
