How do you name your machines/ What's your username?

I name them after animals or touhou characters. Right now I'm dogg@nyann and on another computer I'm yukkuri@tewi

On my personal computers, I use the first letter of my first name as my username.

I use to give things dumb names (Anime or videogame related) but it got tiresome, especially if someone saw it and asked what it meant.
Anymore I just name things like "Desktop-PC" or put "-VM" if its virtualized.
Sure, its not as fun but its way more easy to remember which is which.

Hostnames are the computer model, username is the pseudonym I've been using for decades.

I've gone by the same 1337h4x0r name I picked back in the late 90's when I was a 12 year old retard up until now.

My username is almost always my nickname, which is the first letter in each of the words that make up my last name (i.e. were it Johnson my nick would be js)
As for device names I literally just look around and take the first one or two words that describe something about the device that come to mind
My T430 is tegelsten ("brick"), almost went with licoriceslab
My tower is ice3, because it's square and white
My little NAS is thaibox, because it's small, square and my friend was eating a frozen Thai box meal next to me
My plex server is plexbox
At work I just name my own devices nick-devicename-role

Not the guy you're replying to but I love the games and have been playing them for over a decade, but "secondaries" are definitely the larger portion of the fanbase now a days unfortunately.

My online tag + model or OS/DE of the machine. I like the idea of naming themes but I added machines over time so just named as I went. Might name them after the K-On girls since I have 5.
