>*this thread has been locked*

>PM'd you the fix :)

>banned for inane comments

>t. IQ so low he requires spoon feeding to be able to fix a simple issue
I bet your parent are so proud of you.

>find thread on Apple or Adobe forums about the issue
>page 1 of 4
>page 1 filled with nothing but condescending inapplicable solutions from forum "gurus"
>the remaining pages are just a flame war from the gurus getting butthurt by being told their solutions aren't helpful
>thread locked

I see this one so much. Any forum on an official site is trash

>I'm having this issue too!

>I will not help you with this issue unless you change your name

Jow Forums isn't your tech support, or your emotional support.

for tech support
for emotional support

It's in Jow Forums's rules.

underrated

>how can i do X?
>sweet i got a reply!
>why would you want to do X?!

>find previous thread on topic

This shit is why I've never seriously used any type of forum ever since I started browsing Jow Forums in ~2007. Absolutely fucking cancerous. And don't even get me started on "I pm'd you the fix :)" shit. Nigger, he asked in the thread, post the solution in the thread.

>problem that has literally nothing to do with graphics drivers
>HURR DID YOU TRY INSTALLING THE LATEST DRIVERS? DID YOU TRY REINSTALLING YOUR OS????
fuck off with that shit

>find thread for your issue
>thread is from 2009
>"Download this file from this link."
>404

>just click this link bro
>links are hidden to non-members
>can't use a temp email to sign up
>sign up
>still can't view links until some arbitrary requirement like making 20 posts or getting 50 upboats
>finally unlock the ability to view links
>megaupload

>You need to be a member to view links
>Create user
>Link 404's

>look up problem on Google
>"hey guys I have this problem"
>50 replies of "SAME HERE"
>problem never solved

>adobe forums
There’s a bug in InDesign CS6 where it gobbles up memory like crazy on newer versions of macOS
If the staffers on the support forum simply said “this software is 6 years old and is unsupported. Please upgrade to a newer version” that would be one thing. But they don’t. Apparently they’re not even allowed to acknowledge that such a bug fucking exists, despite hundreds of threads about it
They will do a bizarre Chinese government-esque doublespeak blaming you for being outdated and it’s your fault
If you press them long enough they’ll give you detailed instructions on how to downgrade your macOS version to the last supported one, without ever actually acknowledging that there’s a glitch because Adobe software isn’t allowed to have glitches.

Just do what I do. Join the forum, make posts every day, then become a moderator, then convince the admin you were some sort of webdev, then harvest everyone's password via a password stealer embedded into the forum code, then trash the backups, then slowly corrupted database, then finally delete everything.

Won't answer my questions will you? I win again experts-exchange.

>heres a bloated program (name of program) that can fix this for you: (link)
>click link, its dead
>look up program, shitty and kinda sketchy website
>download link takes forever to find
>after program is finished installing, it looks like pic related

where is that image from?

>Have you tried reinstalling Windows?

Attached: 1559871866429.png (880x800, 729K)

worst part is you have to pretend that you actually did this ridiculous shit just to get the forum critters to fuck off and help come up with a real solution. Because if you try arguing and saying that fucking reinstalling your OS isn't the proper action, they'll start bitching at you.

>i can't see any reason why you would want to do that

>so i'm having this graphical issue on my pc that uses an amd gpu...
>"do you have the latest nvidia drivers? here's a link"

> for emotional support
Nice

Jow Forums is NOT for tech support.
Or did you not read the rubric (or sticky, if you like) at the first page?

Swear to God this should be a bannable offense in Stack Overflow.

It's always wintards. There's a list of things wintards do to fix their issues, reinstalling drivers is at the top.

I have never had to reinstall my drivers. Either my problems are baby tier, or it's never the actual problem.

Drivers are never the problem unless the file got corrupt, it they're new and buggy. Certain people plug in their new card and expect it work, then complain to support is it doesn't. So manufacturer's support always recommends that as the first step, then morons on forums parrot that.

>a billion dollar company
>here's my shitty product, it breaks btw
>you have questions on how to fix it?
>well you find your answers among yourselves, don't bother me, i'm busy counting my money

>t. Beter than you

why are you complaining on official forums about your pirated warez?

if you need adobe products, the subscription service is quite reasonable, you wouldn't want to use illegal software, now would you user?

>google problem
>[Solved] blablabla
>solution is to install adobe reader or sum shit
>doesn't work
>hundreds of replies asling for another solutions
>Thread locked
Forums are such a shitshow. The only one I'm active with is porn.

epic meme
this has never happened in reality, ever

>Ask the dev to fix an obvious bug
>honsetly I have never used this feature itself but it looks like it works okay to me ;)
coders should all be massacred

worse is custom PC communities
heres the most generic PC ever that is the go-to recommendation right now for ANY pc build
>ryzen 3 3600
>hyper 212 evo blacked edition
>any b450 board with the bios flashback utility
>2x8gb corsair vengeance lpx 3200mhz ddr in black
>radeon 5700 or xt
>corsair cx 550m
>fractal design meshify of some variety or the NZXT H400
>1tb wd blue and 250gb nvme ssd of some kind

the idea of buying ANY other parts than these is completely dumbfounding to these people, everything always has to be about the ultimate price to performance, apparently there are no other considerations to make when buying a PC
im pretty sure most pc tech communities at this point are 90% corsair shills

This is a bread making fun of tech support forum breads.
Or did you not even read the OP?

I fucking hate XY fallicy niggers
>Need to troubleshoot very specific code
>Be good questioner and add minimum working example with explanation
>Minimum working example can obviously be solved with simpler code
>"Hmm, this looks like a XY problem... It would be better to do this instead:.
>Completely ignored my reason for wanting it

Every time I've asked on stack exchange I've asked the se thing in /dpt/, and Ive never gotten a good answer on stack exchange, yet already do in /dpt/.

meanwhile I figure out the solution but will never tell any of those poor fuckers

>most upvoted solution takes many steps to fix and does jack shit to your problem
>some guy with 3 upvotes a few lines down goes “I just do...”
>fixes solution automatically

Fuck you

>illegal software
No such thing

Windows forums are the fucking worst.
Also
>I don't know but someone here might be able to help
Fuck I hate this

>Answer is some shit like "change compatibility settings for that program to "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" or some easy shit
Fucking brainlets I swear to god

Add the OP returning to the thread and saying
>i figured it out
And not explaining how.

>RealFlow
>$700 fluid simulation plugin
>it crashes every time it takes more than x seconds to compute a frame of particle simulation or meshing
>the devs don't even acknowledge the problem

And people wonder why pirating is rampant.

Software AG general

this used to happen in pre 2004 posts, because mods were fucking hyper-nazis in some places and discouraged certain users from posting help because they viewed them as spammers or thread bumpers or they feared that these users get more power than actual mods, because they are actually DOING USEFUL STUFF..

this fucking shit always happens with video games too.

Shit like this is the biggest reason why I never switched to Linux
>"Switch to linux!"
>"Ok, I have it, but I have questions on use"
>"RTFM, Fuckin nub! LOL!"

>"Please sign in or register to view the solution"

Attached: 1564599549606.png (285x313, 228K)

It litterally never worked for me

Oh fuck yea

This
So much this

I had to do the opposite cause the new drivers were fucking with something

This
But with games ( n po
ems
)

Why the fuck does Quora make you log in to read answers??

>Ryzen 5 3600
Reasonable.
>Hyper 212 Evo
Retarded. Get a Dark Rock, or even better, if you're not overclocking don't get an aftermarket at all.
>any b450 board with the bios flashback utility
Reasonable, though X470 is a viable board type if you're going full size ATX
>2x8gb corsair vengeance lpx 3200mhz ddr in black
Again, pretty bog-standard. It's not RGB-shit, relatively cheap, and it just works. Though people wouldn't invalidate you if you had some decent and cheaper G.Skill sticks.
>radeon 5700 or xt
Personally I don't like AMD cards for their incompatibility with OpenGL and lack of CUDA, but the RX5700 is a great value if you're waiting for AIB cards. Expect people to question you if you're choosing something else, though it's not wrong.
>corsair cx 550m
Complete dogshit. Seasonic or go home, 550W isn't cheap or safe enough to warrant the extra 20 bucks saved on those watts for an RX5700.
>fractal design meshify
Get a Define. Meshify has an ugly mug.
>1TB WD Blue
Reasonable.
>and 250gb nvme ssd
Bad. Most budget NVMe drives people will recommend you are in a format that degrades as it fills up. Since most people (
gamurs
) won't need the upper limit of NVMe speeds for everyday tasks, it's better to get a high quality 500GB SATA SSD like an SU800 for your C: drive and a 1TB M.2 WD Blue. Also throw in an HDD like in my case if you're storage hungry.

Sounds to me like you just got ridiculed on /pcbg/ because you posted some pure retard tier parts.

Paint.net has the worst fucking forums, I swear to god.
>Hey you know that documented bug from three years ago where if you press the print button on the toolbar sometimes the entire programs crashes? Is that going to be fixed anytime soon?
>We're busy focusing on adding features.
>Oh, okay! I just made a plugin that removes the print button so this doesn't happen. You can still print from the drop-down menu! Here's the link! (LINK REMOVED BY MOD)
>A user in the thread earlier posted a link for a plug-in that changes the toolbar. This is strictly prohibited because end users are too stupid to edit toolbars. Thread locked.
