My V-Moda m100 headphones are now pretty old and I was thinking of getting the V-Moda M100 Master with the immortal life thingy, anyone know if this one is better/worse for gaming? Video games are going to be the primary use for these headphones, music second.
Need a closed cup recommendation, as I just moved to a flat with a busy road outside
>less than £120

>Philips SPH9500 (current)
>as flat a response profile as possible
And above all, comfortable. I've been spoiled by the Philips, and can't go back to hard-clamping, ear-folding, sweat-beading anchors.
Am poor fag who lives in country where Schiit and JDS have high import fees, would this chink amp/dac be enough for something like the hd6xx or hd58x?

Looking to get a pair of IEMs or Earphones. They will be mostly used for communication, rather than music, meaning the microphone quality would be more important than the sound profile.
>Budget
Up to £100. However, since I feel my requirements are fairly minimal, around £30 would be optimal.
>Source
Bluetooth
>Requirements for Isolation
This would be low priority
>Preferred Type of Headphone
IEM/Earphone
>Preferred tonal balance
Will be used mostly for voices (calls/podcasts)
>Past headphones
Sennheiser HD 558, Koss Porta Pro
>Preferred Music
Rock, Hip Hop, Funk
>Location
UK
As I mentioned at the top, the most important features would be:
>Microphone quality
>Wireless
audio brainlet who got memed into buying a x6. what's my next move apart from kms. smsl m3 any good? also, ohm, have dt 770 80 ohm, what would getting 250 ohm do for me.
X6, you mean HD6xx?

Is Mjolnir 2 good?
posting again since i didn't get an answer last thread
my last pair of NVX XPT100 broke in a really stupid way and i had them for only a year. I use my headphones daily (gaming and such) so I guess it was bound too happen but i didn't expect it to happen so soon. I bought a pair of ATH-AD900X after asking a few people i know but honestly they just feel fucking weird on me head. I'm honestly looking for something comfortable that just wont bust after a year due to shitty plastic

I dont know what to put here im retarded
so you’re listening to what?
What headphones are good quality, but just a durable as MDR-V6? Most other headphones I end up breaking within 3 months, and my MDRs are the first that have lasted years. Are sennheisers good enough?
FUCKING KYS YOU ABSOLUTE SCHIZO
Focal Elex is unbreakable
Ah the one off aliexpress? Is it really that bad, I was considering getting this one cos of import fees from Schiit and JDS which is based off the FX Audio DAC/AMP:
amazon.com
Fecal, well known for its poor build quality, is unbreakable? Really nigga?
Anyone know how the hex v2 compares to the arya.
HUH?

What's the verdict on Koss ESP/95X? Is it a good point to sample the electrostat kool-aid?
get it get it get it
don't get it don't get it don't get it
don't give your money to anyone but Stax
recommend me a nice pair of heaphones for an audionoob thats only ever used skullcandy and cheap amazon headphones

DT770 (80 ohm) or Audio Technica M40X or M50X.
I'm doing it.
...
Talk me out of this.
Creative Aurvana Live!
Bassy, fun and cheap headphone that is miles better than the usual Skullcandy and gaymer headset crap. A hidden gem, you could say.
No, you aren’t, but you should buy HD650, Eddie Current Studio, and Schiit Yggdrasil. The perfect endgame...
kys retard
hi marv
like all electrostats it is thin and unfulfilling, like a Chinese penis.
If you want to get the curiosity about electrostats out of the way and realize why they fell out of favor decades ago, you may as well just get a cheap Koss electrostats and pass it on to the next fool by selling it, you'll lose much less. money than with Stax and get equal levels of enjoyment.
it’s tough making a decision what to listen with.
Zeos told me to buy these ones.
Any other suggestions for outdoor headphones or these are good?
post the oldest headphone u got
>listening to the audio-goblin
any suggestions?
just built objective 2 DIY kit + optical OL DAC paired with DT 990 Pros
pretty good for ~$350 overall including headphones desu senpai
>unironically being a zeos buypig
>not realizing he just recommends whatever manufacturer is willing to give him a referral cut from the referral links
They're decent, might wanna consider the Pro82 instead if you can find it cheaper and don't care about the lack of mic.
>the seething nostaxer incel confeses he takes penises up his ass and is only satisfied by huge blacks, those filthy chinks won't cut it
should i be surprised?
I have some audio technica M50xs. Will I really be getting that much of an improvement in quality if I move up to another pair of say, $300 headphones?
Just recommend some shit or overpriced headphone so I can thank you and move on with my life and read "serious" recommendations.
they are cheaper than the Pro82 in my country, but thanks for the suggestion.
if you dont critically listen to music (esp. jazz, live and classical records), then just get that coolermaster one and be done with it. it goes for around 60 aud when on, sale, which is a good price for something based on pro82s.
Don't believe anyone that says that a LCD-X can be driven from anything. Well it can but the quality is lacking so much, in every single area by a large amount.
what is the best headphones to listen 320kbps anime music?
is optical better than USB for input?
no
is it worse?
no
depends dunnit
How do the AD900X feel weird?
Maybe you just need better pads, there are a number of them on ebay, i just got the ones suggested by Zeos (yeah yeah, i know, i just wanted comfortable pads with similar sound). If it's the "headband" some Anons use an elastic wrapper on it, google about it.
With that said, some of the most comfortable headphones i've tested and owned are Beyerdynamic ones, check the Custom One Pro if you really want closed-back, if open os ok check the DT880 250ohms.
Another open alternative is the AKG K612.
>they are cheaper than the Pro82 in my country, but thanks for the suggestion.
Well outside of that there's not really many recommendation I could give for headphones that fit a portable outside use, maybe the HaaFee HD1 / MOOH-BE00BT but that's a bit pricier, maybe out of your price range, definitely better sounding and more isolating though.
is the SHP9500 still worth it today?
Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro.

Flat but I'm open to options. I'm not used to good sounding treble since my shp9500s sound grainy as fuck. They have an unnatural sound to them

bumping my post if anyone can help out
i don't like how normal headphones touch my hair, i don't like how IEMs go inside my ears, i don't like how clip-ons bend my ears, i don't like how earbuds sound bad, and i don't like how speakers aren't private
what do i do
Buy Stax

Thanks, have you tried these out yourself?

You just kill yourself, disgusting pedo degenerate
How is he a pedo tho
I don't know if there's a difference but that really just means "wait for measurements"
Love my ancient m100s though

Get good earbuds.
yes.
they're good as portable, if you care more about home usage there are probably better options.
shave your head, no hair no problem
Can someone explain why I would use the gain switch on a O2 combo unit instead of leaving it at 1x and adjusting the volume knob? Wouldn't going to 3x gain distort the audio?
do those exist? i thought they were just flawed because of the design
maybe if i start balding i'll do that
>thinking the human ear could ever hope to notice a difference of jitter of 145 PICOSECONDS
god audiophiles are truly the worst human garbage
Probably wont fit your budget but, DT250. As flat as it gets on closed backs.
to put the knob in a range where it's most comfortable to use and works best
analog attenuators tend to "jump" and have the most channel balance problems on the leftmost end so you can use a lower gain to bring your sensitive headphone in the comfy middle range and a higher gain to bring your weak ass phone down from maxing out the knob
Yes
what are these called?
Open vs closed, how much of a difference? I've used Hesh 2 which supposedly are closed and I liked how it worked
k271
So the digital output volume set by windows/Linux/whatever is equally high or low fidelity at any volume, and the signal only changes once it's been converted to analog?
there's a huge difference in the soundstage and especially in the bass response most of the time
yeah imagine the switch as a simple analog offset for your volume knob
how's sony MDR-Z7M2? worth it?
Welp I've been using this poorly for five years then, thanks
fuck you, jitter kills my plankton
