Google cheated.

Because chrome is faster and better.

...

chorme is ~twice as fast on JS.

and pages are bloated with it.

Pretty much this, they doing shit to intentionally make it run shittier on Firefox to get people on Chrome.

Google intentionally gimps performance of its services on non-google browsers.

Create js function benchmark it on firefox and chrome, it runs faster on chrome... fucking chrome gimping my js code.

Nicovideo is also faster on Chromium, I don't think Google did anything there but who knwos

Because Mozilla funds Rust, Pocket, VPNs, FF Send, endless redesigns and various useless SJW groups instead of fixing their shitty browser. Google should stop giving them free money and let them die.

firefox is slower, they're making progress but blink is progressing too.

Because chrome is selling your data.

Even doing extra work it still faster than firefox then.

Because you aren't blocking the JavaScript cancer. Everything loads instantly for me on my old thinkpad with umatrix up.

This.
I bet pages load faster for me on firefox since I only noop the bare essential scripts needed.

I use Firefox precisely because I get stuttering on Chrome. When I scroll down on Chrome with pages like YouTube the stutters occur everytime my mouse is hovering over anything that is not either text or empty space. Firefox doesn't do that, it deals fine with YouTube.

If you mean loading pages, it doesn't take long enough for me to even notice honestly.

>free money
he doesn't know

i installed firefox on my new lappy but jesus christ
3 tabs waste 700MB of RAM, is this normal?

Attached: fx.png (1877x906, 104K)

thought about doing that
does it affect the browsing experience at all?

alrighty so far it's working the same way and i'm at 300MB less, thx user

I don't know. I don't worry about RAM usage. I'm just showing you there's an option to help lower it. But using ublock origin in medium mode would hrlp a lot too since sites themselves are bloated. Plus it will help performance and security by blocking 3rd party scripts by default.
