Is KDE Neon actually good now? I love KDE but the last time I tried Neon it had all the problems Ubuntu had like Firefox taking forever to load pages until you disable ipv6, and having to use pkcon to update instead of apt is dumb.

It's good, I've been using it for nearly a month now. Other than a couple of weird bugs (that I could solve by googling) it's perfectly fine as a daily driver. And most importantly it has a competent file picker for Firefox with thumbnails and everything, so it's great when you have to sort through 2875 pepe pictures in your meme folder (this alone puts it above pretty much every other distro with their pathetic gtk file picker). It's also much faster than Windows 10, on my machine it literally loads in less than 5 seconds, it's faster than my monitor can react to the resolution change from the bootloader to the logscreen. For updates just launch Discover or Muon, other than that you can use apt just fine.

For anons who are using global menus, how do you get rid of this shit in firefox? I mean the part with the red squiggle on it. Using KDE Neon. I've heard of some solutions (such as disabling window decorations such as the titlebar, but that makes me lose the maximize, close buttons and it becomes hard to manage the window).

I have the scroll bars because for the longest time my trackpoint wasn't working properly. Never really got around to removing them since.

I just think no scrollbar looks cleaner and I would rarely use them anyways, I can always (Shift+)PgUp or mousewheel. Just my preference.
