Gnome 3 is still pretty shit. I tried to install ubuntu with gnome and half the out of the box apps didn't work properly. it was for my dad. He has trouble with computers and i could't be assed being tech support when he clicks a porn popup on windows and fucks it. You'd think that internet banking, email, and some card games wouldn't be had.

so i wound up giving him an old macbook i had. no problems since.

it is completely fucking pointless now that MATE is ported to GTK3, and since MATE has preliminary support wayland, it is now deprecated, too.

Does Linux Mint in Cinnamon have similar gaming and/or driver capability as Ubuntu? Also asking for stuff like emulators.
