Looking for a phone right now. I was excited for the Mi A3, but I cannot understand at all, why they only put a 720p screen in there, which according to reviews is the major shortcoming of it.
Budget: up to around 300€. Country: Germany Android One would be nice, alternatively something to likely have good custom ROM support for the future.
Prepared to wait for a few weeks if there is something new coming up.
Thinking that maybe I should just go with the Redmi Note 7 for now, as it gets recommended a lot here. I know it comes with MIUI, but since the phone is so popular, I assume there will be a bunch of additional options available in the future.
If you have any recommendations I'd appreciate it.

I'd unironically get mi a2 lite 4/64, it's cheap as fuck, has a nice ips lcd of normal res, audio jack, two sims, very nicely built. I don't gayme on phone and don't need a cpu for that.

He's just shitposting, although ironically Xiaomi is one of the most developer friendly manufacturers at this point. You can get a custom ROM with microG running on virtually all of their phones and you've pretty much done the best you can in terms of avoiding data mining. Xiaomi also has unprecedented value for money, though the A3 isn't a good choice in any way.
