tfw firefox actually way fucking sharper

it is.
i can't even use chromium based browsers now because it's all so blurry and weird.

is it like that on chromium as wel? I thought the differences were on purpose so the fonts could match the browser. but if it's not a single website thing then I guess this isn't the case

>that japanese font
yikes

This. As far as I can tell it's a case of "let's ignore the OS font rendering and the user's preference and just use our own library."

Isn't the font of wikipedia set the same for every browser?
Like
font-family: Helvetica, Serif, Sans-serif

how can you render fonts differently?
brainlet here, please explain

It will depend on the operating system, the settings, and the font used by the browser, and the browser itself.

you alias sans/serif to arimo/tinos for e.g.

this kinda frustrates me. my app looks different on those browsers, exactly as depicted. will using font face remedy that?

>your average i3 user

i tried a lot of things to fix it and never managed to, so i think it's really the browser that fucks up all the fonts.

Word on the left and WordPad on the right.
I'll never understand why they fucked it up so much in their big product yet have good rendering in the freeby shit that comes bundled with Windows.

Living in Tokyo suburb now and mostly Tokyo relied on food from rural area in Tohoku region and Chiba Prefecture, judging from food origin labeling in supermarket.
