Is the 1050 TI 4GB still good?

Is this still a good card to have? Is it still an ok card?

What for?

An okay card for what?
For browsing Jow Forums, sure.

That is a meaningless question.
For light webbrowsing it is certainly overpowered and a waste of money, for hardcore gaming it is certainly way too underpowered.

all around, gaming too

I'm going to have to say no based on your lack of an educated answer.

I still use a Quadro K2000M and it's fine. Unless you want to play new AAA games then you will do fine with that card, or even something less

It never was good to begin with. At that level the on board gfx is good enough for no extra money.

Yes, you can play all games 1080p 60fps with varying settings from low to ultra.

I have a 1050ti 4gb at 1600x900 I don't really play games but for benchmarking purposes I ran some benchmark when I got it and It could run basically run anything max at 60fps at the time. witcher 3 ds3 etc.

Never was, 570 was good at similar price point

Buy an RX 570. It can OC to near 580 levels if you need to

These. Don't let nvidia gimp your GPU in a year or two.

FFS user, can't you read the damn sticky? This could've been a good question on /sqt/ or /pcbg/, but you had to go and create a thread.

RX 570 4GB is better, i have one with a 768p monitor, i opted for the ultimate redpill, 60fps ultra on most titles.

No its not a good card in 2019
I sold my 1050 ti for 100 dollars to some retard on ebay and bought an rx 570 8gb with 2 games for 130
Basically paid you 2 games and got a free gpu
Actually not even that, I just paid for half a game and got a gpu and 2 games

I have one. It's ok. I played Resident Evil 2 Remake 1080p/60fps on medium. That's a really recent game.

The problem is that, if you're buying a card now, there's no reason to get it because the RX 570 and RX 580 exist. They're both much faster than the 1050 ti and cost the same. As an example, look at The Witcher 3: 1050 ti: 30fps on high; RX 580: 60-70 fps on high. The 1050 ti is terrible value in comparison. That said, if you for some reason just happen to have one, it'll do the trick for 1080p in most games. You could sell it though and get an AMD card instead though if needs be.

>paying for games on PC
>factoring the cost of games into your value calculations
nice trips though

I bought the 570 for 130 and it came with 2 games, I could have spent a little less and get the shittier version that came with no games

It handles nep shit and most jrpgs well. That's about all it's good for.

I got the 1050 ti recently, because there is a low profile version of it, that fits in the used Optiplex sff I bought. Played pretty much only Project Cars 2 and Civ VI on it. For 1080p gaming at mid to high graphics, depending on the game, 60 FPS all the way.

If it's all your budget allows then it wont be the end of the world, I have one in a cheapo gayming i5 laptop and it plays doom, metro last light, cs:go etc reasonably well, at 1080p you'll be fine

Get a 1080ti, thank me later.

He is literally giving you a marketing script, kek.

Have an 980ti, still works for me

I just sold it. Planning on getting RX 570 or 580 more likely. 1050 Ti FPS got bout 10 FPS lower with the newest drivers compared to older ones.

I recommend you do NOT buy it. RX 570 costs the same or less and is about 40 percent faster.

no, its trash. get 570 8gb instead
