Linux Image Viewer

I can't find a good image viewer. I run i3gap and need something that resize to fit screen, center it and display the image.

I used to use MPV for all image but something is wonkey and MPV can only display like 1/8 of the image.

if you care about the bloat meme us feh, otherwise use nitrogen

guys, I found a really nice on that also supports gifs. It's called nomacs and it's really nice

You can zoom in to the pixel level, have tabs, change frames, and even do a little basic editing

cool i will llok ino it

Nomacs is pretty decent. Custom keybinds so you can just q out of it like mpv if you want, basic editing and cropping commands so you don't have to open the dreaded GIMP, supports webp and gifs, you can rename images without exiting gallery view, etc.

Isn't it just an electron based image viewer?

t. feh or ristretto user

No, it's way too fast to be electron based.

github.com/nomacs/nomacs
It's QT, written in python

gwenview, geeqie or eog
these are the only systemd/IBM image viewers that knows color space, making everything else hobbyist-tier projects at best

meh is also good
