Name one (1) Linux DE that handles 4K well.

I'll wait.

Windows 10

I had no issues on Gnome.

KDE Plasma just works for me, OP.

I dual boot KDE and Windows, not much difference.

what os doesn't handle 4k?

Is Gnome still stuck between 100% and 200% scaling? Last time I tried it, maybe a few months ago, it was. I hated that.

GNOME3 with upscaling is alright

It does have fractional scaling on Wayland, it’s possible to enable it on Xorg too but I haven’t tried it.

windows phone

Ah, OK. My experiences with Wayland have not been good so I didn't even investigate that route last time I tried Gnome. Not sure if it's due to multi-monitor or what. Looking forward to a proper release of Wayland but that's seeming like it will coincide with the "year of the Linux desktop" aka never.

if you're going to do upscaling lower than x2 just set bigger fonts.
Why do you have a wannabe retina screen?
Just use the extra space or go big retard
GNOME

Have you ever tried doing just that? Probably not, it sucks. Sure you can read text better, but other UI elements are minuscule.

then scale it x2 or use the gimped 1.5 or something wayland scaling.
Looks as blurry as in windows.

just go on the display settings and click on scale and set it 200% , BAM.

cinnamon handles my screen (2880x1800 or something like that) pretty well

How can 4k be a problem, like nigga just increase DPI lmao

The GNU Network Object Model Environment

Wayland has already had a proper release

all

GNOME 3, title bars are fuck huge at anything lower than 4k.
