Post your main laptop

No, this not a chalk board, although you could probably use it as one because of its texturised fingerprint resistant finish. This is my Thinkpad x60.

That read like an advertising line. Sensual, also nice trips.

Thinking of cloning my Windows install and replacing the M2 drive with a Samsung or Crucial cause I heard Kingston SSDs are unreliable

Is that a chalk board?

Dell E7280 with an i5-7300U, 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD and the FHD panel option. It isn't exactly what I was originally looking for, but it's a damn nice machine nonetheless and it's very hard to argue against 200€ for something that good. It even has onsite left, right up to the end of 2020.

Meant 8 GB of RAM. I really should stop mixing up my computers and get some sleep.

Dell Inspiron 15 3567

I want a ThinkPad with 2 m.2 ssd slots + 1 2.5 for Linux/Windows,any advice?

Unironically using an x220 with Debian for work

How is Ryzen 7 with Vega graphics? I'm thinking of buying a laptop with 3700U for uni. I think it can handle autocad.

The last excellent Apple laptop. Patrician taste.

I don't know about autocad but it feels like a pretty good CPU for what I do. I'm gonna spend a year abroad and I'll be using the laptop for uni stuff (though nothing related to engineering or science or programming), internet and lightweight gaming, and it's fine for that. Maybe even a bit overkill for what I'm gonna do with it, but it had a 230 euro discount so I went for it.

If you're into games and want to play any modern stuff look for something with dedicated graphics cause the iGPU is definitely not suited for 1080p high settings

Yeah you're right, I agree. Obviously when I got it I had no idea that they would make stupid decision decisions with the following laptops. It sucks that they did. But yeah, I used a similar laptop to this one in my last job (I think that would have been a late 2014 model or something - almost exactly the same except that it had a physical trackpad instead of the haptic feedback one that I've got), and I liked it so much that I got my own one.

Thanks a lot. I don't play games so i think there is no need for a dedicated graphics card.

Thinkpad W530. Niggerfitted with xx20 keyboard.
Clean, without a single sticker o it.
Pretend there's a pic of it in this post, I can't be fucked to post it.
