80$ on a used laptop. Bought it in 2010 and it still works.

$1200 for hedt maschine for video encoding. was worth it

$400 for a 2400G + Rx 570 build

$950 for my first desktop
$500 for my first laptop
Every other computer I bought was either high spec low price or low price and I uograded to high spec later.

$800 for my desktop
$300 for my laptop

my parents bought be a $10,000 dual xeon server in high school. I guess I was a spoiled child.

Name something worse than trans people who fetishize the idea of being a woman, you can't.
Women don't fetishize themselves, you'll never be a real woman.

>Women don't fetishize themselves
Isn't that the entire feminist movement?

1800€ when I hit 18 years old and my parents finally agreed that I could have my personal computer. Never used it cause I had stopped playing video games by that time, yet I regret nothing because it was one of my early teenage dreams.

>buys $10000 worth of PC
>makes $10k a month
>bikes to avoid a $55 taxi fee
>hasn't bought a car
Does it hurt to be this stupid? He could have spent $1000 less on his second PC and had the budget for a shitbox at least

He bought a $6000 all-carbon racing bike and rides it everywhere because he thinks it'll give him wider hips

twitter.com/EeveeA_/status/1146100594362466305

500€ on desktop
300-400€ on my memepad.(includes, mods and a finnish keyboard swap.)

used to make $10k a month*

About 1200USD in parts over the course of one year.

.
Lmao when the programming slips. These people and the fact that society bends over backwards to appease their delusions tilts the shit out of me

When I upgraded my first computer. Bought a case, CPU, mb, and ddr3 ram and spent about $700 10 years ago

$900 on a pc with enough swapped out components to have another desktop

Around $3500 for my last year's 2700x build if you count in 6+1 8TB hard drives for raid (the +1 is a spare).

Probably around USD 2500 for this system. I would've been just as happy with a cheaper 1900x or 1920x-based system, but I had just quit my job, and wanted to celebrate.

i bought a g3258, 2x4 9-9-9-24 ddr3, a retarded h81 msi board with the absolutely the shitties bios/efi i've ever seen and a 600w psu for a 100 bucks about a year ago and that's pretty much it. i'm still using it to this date and poor fucker has been compiling garbage ever since, wonder how it's still alive with being oc'd to 4.2core/4.0uncore with the stock cooler.

What did you used a server for in high school?

About $2900 for my current 15" macbook pro touchbar.

Got a Rampage IV Extreme, i7-3970X, and 32GB of Corsair Dominator DDR3, all waterblocked up with a res and pumps for free from eWaste. Bought a 1070, Corsair 750D Airflow, AX860i, an HP 500GB NVMe, and some rads and tubing and new fittings. Probably totalled a bit under $1500CAD or so all-told.
Recently pulled a 10-core Xeon that works on this motherboard from eWaste.

$200 on a Chromebook about five years ago
My pc is literally out of the trash and just needs a PSU to get up and running again

This is so fucking dumb. The #1 lesson is DON’T change the format: no trans reveals, no face reveals, just stick to your trade. This happens ALL the time.

She's literally just being civil and explaining her point. It's her group think fans that are cancer here.

315 dll for my desktop GAYmer
And 94 dll for my laptop

around $1400 for my current desktop.
i7-6700, GTX 1070, Dell 24" QHD 160Hz g-sync TN.

$1064 for my laptop, X1 i7-8550u QHD dolby display. Lenovo Refurbished.

$745 for Pixel 2 XL

>her
>she

lol

I wasn't even going to address it lol

$1600~ CAD for my current "build" that isn't finished because THERE ARE STILL NO FUCKING 3900X in Canuckistan.

I'm spending 42000€ on my current one.
The RAM alone is 800€.

Why does Speccy say my GPU is 4GB though? It's 8.

$1200 cad for my ryzen 7 build a month ago.

About $1200 for my other build 5 years ago and also about $1200 for my other build 10 years ago.

The only difference being that I now spend less money than ever on gpu.

I didn't only use it as a server, I used it as a workstation mostly. but I also hosted torrents on what.cd. I used it for a bunch of computational stuff, mathematica, chess engines, some basic simulations. but really I mostly played a lot of games. it actually helped me a lot with computer science and math. but I was definitely spoiled. also it was so noisy and hot that my dad drilled a hole through the floor to run cables so that I could have it in the basement below my room.

>What's the most money you have spent on a computer, Jow Forums?
I pretty much haven't had to buy EVERYTHING all at once.

I'm always keeping something from my previous computers.

If I were to add up my current computer setup MSRP, it would probably be in the $3000 range, but it's spread out over several years, especially HDDs and monitors.

Well for my personal desktop my gpu cost more than the entire rest of the system. GTX1080 & i5 7400 build with a gsync monitor and everything else thrown in would probably be around $1400-$1500

As far as my laptop I bought it a few years ago for $700. I will say that the i5 6200u is really starting to show its age with Windows being as bloated as it is and websites having too much background services. But everything else about it has aged perfectly well other than the battery which now holds 4 hours instead of 8.

Attached: s287276877890059161_p95_i10_w2560.jpg (4062x2560, 2.29M)

Because speccy is deprecated garbage. Use HWinfo64.

Counting monitors? $1500 USD, without the monitors it was about $1100 USD.

Please laugh at my prebuilt and call me stupid, it gets me off.

Attached: specs.jpg (1079x588, 193K)

i5 6200u showing its age browsing the web with Windows 10?! Better check for software problems because it's not the hardware i assure you.

My water cooled desktop has gotta be like 5k when i built it which was dumb to spend but I can take most of the water cooling stuff from build to build.

Oh nononoonon

$900 for my used T480s a month ago

>complaining about biking ONLY 1 & 15minutes

Soilent

Unironically

at first i reeeee'd but i kept reading and i am glad that i did. fuck xer.

GPU-z

about three fiddy.

hd CPU-Z anyways but UHHHHHHH
is NVIDIA a fucking scam?

Attached: CPUZ.png (404x401, 24K)

I once (1988 or 1989) won a 386SX-25 with 4MB RAM, 40MB HDD, ATI VGA Wonder, Sound Blaster pro gold, 15" SVGA monitor, HP DeskJet and some speakers and joystick worth Hfl.7000,- ($3560)

My monthly salary was Hfl.1100,- ($560) back then, and that really was an nice above average salary

~£700 for my 6700k desktop
~£300 for my near brand new x230 with two docks

I regret spending so much money on my desktop, could have gone for a lot less and wouldn't have noticed the difference.
I dont even play games on high settings, no point in having this thing but i guess I'll keep it

If you want to be a woman pray for it in your next life. Becoming a "woman" is fake and gay.

forums.evga.com/4GB-memory-for-2070-m2925032.aspx

$1800 on RAM for a dumpster dived server. Someone threw it out because all the DIMMs were bad.

Yeah but what if NVIDIA software is rigged to show a higher amount than is actually there?

Meh, you can take off shroud and investigate VRAM modules. It has 8gb.

I dropped about $1000 on my current build over the last 5 years.

i7-4770k from ebay for $150
Corsair case new for $30
16gb of RAM for $80
4x 2tb HDDs (free from work)
256gb SSD $100
RX 480 $220 at launch (upgraded from 750ti)
Deep Cool cooler $20
Corsair 650w PSU $40

$640 total

then later I upgraded:

GTX 1070 - $200
+16gb RAM $40
+1tb NVMe drive $180

$1060 total spent, but I recouped the cost of the Samsung SSD and the RX 480 for like $250 total, so total net is $810.

Not bad at all.

Also got a BenQ 1080p 144hz monitor for $150 on ebay.

750 euro

You should use windows ltsc/ltsb

Youd think a tranny could shave if they went so far trying to be a woman but kept the mustache

my current build is around 4600 euros.

shaving requires some effort every morning. mental illness makes you lazy.

~1100EUR on my current pc
i5 3570k
16GB ram
HD7850 that died, replaced with 1060GT

will upgrade soonish to a 3700x

$1700 on a laptop I didn't even buy.
>Start a new job
>Contract says it includes a laptop
>whatever.jpeg
>They end up firing me after 5 months for stupid reasons
>I take the laptop
>They don't say anything
>A week later they send an email saying I need to return it in 24 hours or they're going to call the police
>I get legal advice
>The laptop is mine, but it's not worth the fight
>I'm giving it back to them next week
The system works!

$3000 on my desktop build, $5000 for monitors and peripherals.

$1500 on a laptop. Kinda regret it but it's a good Ultrabook. Around $1200 on my desktop

$3298 before tax, in 1994. My first laptop. 486 compaq with a massive 256mb hdd and 4mb RAM.

So around $3470 after taxes. I think I also paid an extra $300 for extended warranty, and we'll say another$300 in various accessories like a PCMCIA NIC, a laptop bag, etc. We'll just call it an even $4,000. So just shy of $7,000 in today's money.

It's probably going to be this M4800 that I'm more or less rebuilding and replacing everything. The motherboard was shorted out, so that had to go. The processor was cracked (and popped), so that's another $120. I gotta replace the LVDS screen with either a 120hz 1080p or a 4K eDP setup, and they both run in the $130 range. Then there's replacing the graphics card, which depending on what I can get from Chinkland, runs from $200 to $350 for a RX 560 and a 1050 Ti respectively. Then there's buying:

>Wireless cards (Assuming that I can't rip one out of an old motherboard, that's $15.)
>SSD's, which will probably be about $200 for two.
>Either getting a Blu-Ray reader ($30) or a SSD caddy ($10 for nothing).
>A Wi-fi toggle switch ($10)
>Odds and Ends ($50)

It's going to be around a grand for an okayish Frankenstein laptop assuming that nothing else goes wrong with it. I'm probably going to buy an MXM riser from Taobao to test out a 1060 I got long ago and sell that fucker off.

>that pic
Holy shit hahaha. Was into Overwatch about two years ago and watched this guy some just to see if the high level Mercy players were as talentless as the low level ones (they are). Knew it was just a matter of time before he came out as gay/trans.

I've got $800-900 put into my desktop. The motherboard just fried so now I've got to blow $300 or so on a new CPU, motherboard, and memory

The dream.

I have just slowly upgraded for a long time. Never switched everything... So current system is probably around 8k..

$350 acer aspire from walmart in 2007
$489 asus p50ij from newegg in 2011
$60 x220 from eBay in 2017

Kinda wish I had something new but nothing seems to bear the x220 in form factor. The new x280 seems pretty sweet though

Attached: AE30671D-55F9-4A22-97DA-294FCD8773D5.jpg (450x479, 32K)

My current build probably. Close to the $4k mark. I had an old AMD FX based system that I thought I could add on to while slowly replacing parts. Ended up just going balls deep in an entirely new system because parts started failing on me.

Nearly 2k for an mATX build a couple of years ago that overheats like there's no tomorrow.
I could just buy a new case but it would feel like admitting I didn't spend my money wisely. This is a truth I cannot accept.

>$10,000 server personal computer
A bit spoiled
>dad solved the noise problem himself instead of hiring someone else to do it
Maybe not all that spoiled

How does one have -5K followers?

It's a growth chart. He lost 5k that month

Man, I wish I was born into money

bruh. just fucking keep it.
