Seems like all the codec packs disappeared. I remember the kawaii one being decent when I was on wangblows
nowadays I just use mpv, which works nicely without the need for bloat like codec packs.

whats wrong with it? ive been using it for years now and all my anime is played okay, only in a few cases has it lag on 10-bit BD with alot of subtitles effects

Yes but things like Klite come with stuff like Icaros which fixes thumbnails in Windows. If you try opening your folder full of videos windows thrashes your hard disk to 99% trying (and often failing) to load all those thumbs without it.

Codec packs have never been necessary, find the codec you need and install it. Codec packs tend to break things and can fuck your registry:
