Pour moi, c'est Go Mono.

DejaVu Sans Mono

What about theme? White background is too bright and dark with white letters is proven to be bad for your eyes.
Is there any theme with light gray and black text?

Veranda is nice.

I really like Fira Code. The entire font family is pretty nice actually. Mozilla has some good designers on board.

t.productivememberofsociety

Terminus if bitmap, DejaVu Sans Mono or sometimes Iosevka for TrueType.
That said, DejaVu Sans Mono is probably the best monospaced font overall, and deserves its popularity.
The reason it's good, IMHO, is exactly because it doesn't look fancy or anything special. You never think "wow, this font looks really nice", you don't even notice it's there. Your mind jumps straight to processing the actual content, with no overhead. And that's what a good font should do.
Bitmap fonts look cool and all, but they usually distract me precisely because of their hip retro look: the "no mental overhead" effect is only experienced on older devices which only had bitmap fonts, and thus were the norm and blended together with the rest.
That's why I tend to avoid them if I can have proper TrueType font support.

Only a bugman could lack such basic sense of aesthetics as to overlook something as basic, yet easily customizable such as your font.
When you're working with walls of text every day, you bet you'd want it to at the very minimum look pleasant.
Mentally, it makes a massive difference.

bitmap fonts ftw

don't be a negative Nancy.

>2k lines

somehow this font broke on my manjaro machine one day while I was ricing and haven't really been able to get it back again, now I just use GNU-Unifont.

nice i didnt know gnu unifont. gonna have a look at it

If it broke this week then gn*me is to blame, they removed bitmap font support from pango. You can roll back to pango 1.43 to fix it.

Yes. But fonts such as comic sans are easier to read for people with dyslexia.

Menlo
