Shit bait thread

manjaro because I am using it now

Windows 10

have a (you) and fuck off

windows 8.1

more like "considers self 1337, only codes in bash". these guys have to at least know some bash to be runnin gentoo in i3

Manjaro. Since AUR ive never had to open the command line to install anything

Ubuntu because it just werks and literally every single piece of software made for Linux can be installed in ubuntu (including proprietary stuff that I need for work, which is only available as a .deb)

is there a gui for aur? maybe i am an idiot but i can't browse aur with the default gui software manager. But yeah i would use any distro that has aur over any that doesn't.

Arch because AUR.

arch: aur
or
freebsd: no steam games

I use Arch btw

>he/she

Depends on use case.
Arch for desktop because up to date packages and lightweight.
Ubuntu server for server because it's good to go and easy to get systems set up on.

compare repo sizes with aur
iirc void repo size compares favorably to arch + aur, so does nixos
wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_helpers -> Graphical
Aur package quality is also middling ime

For me it's centos for servers/VM
Nixos for desktop

>meme distro
Anyone not using Zorin is a niggerfaggot that is legit retarded.

I'm enjoying Qubes, sadly it's no good for compiling large C programs.

Makes fun of meme distros, posts even more redundant meme distro

Is manjaro redpilled?

How is zorin a meme distro

>muh windows skin for ubuntu isn't a meme distro
Leave.

Enable AUR support in pamac settings

I have used windows all my life, but working with some debian servers is starting to get into me, also i really really want to check genodeos but i dont have any spare computer to install it

Zorin literally gets shilled here all the time

Slackware & Solus

> Stable, Full feature (without the bloat), Independent.
> They make for great workstations.

fedora because I am using it now

ubuntu because I already falled for all memes and they are not worth it

debian because I can hear three letter agencies screeching at my lack of wifi access and continuous ethernet disconnection

>boomers trying to make reddit memes
pathetic

Kali because i am hackerman

Right now, KDE Neon.

Arch because I unironically find it the easiest to use

pop_OS because I want the best beginner distro for gaming

I use Kubuntu because it's got the nice Ubuntu background with KDE, which is probably the only DE worth using at this timè‡.

debian

KDE neon is the best distribution I've found, and I've tried dozens of distributions. It's based on Ubuntu, so just works, and has the latest KDE. Oh and as I was typing this post the update to KDE Frameworks 5.6.1 came in.

Only thing I really added was to get a GIMP PPA to get 2.10. Also added the weechat repositories to get a recent version of weechat. I compiled cmus and cmusfm because it seems like nobody is offering 2.8.0

Distributions I've tried:
- Debian (various desktops)
- Ubuntu (GNOME, Unity, Budgie, Xfce, LXQt, MATE)
- MX Linux
- Manjaro (KDE, Xfce)
- Mint (Cinnamon, MATE)
- elementary OS
- Solus
- Fedora (various)
- openSUSE (various)
- Zorin
- deepin
- Arch
- Pop! OS
- FreeBSD (not a distro i know)
- Void

Mint with Cinnamon because it looks cool and "it just works" well enough.

MacOS ;^)

Neon sucks though since only KDE is up to date rolling release, the rest is shitty old kubuntunwhich can be quite stagnant.

kde neon sucks cope with it.
Ubuntu and Xubuntu are better

>implying that means it's good

time to leave, this board is fucking retarded.
Slackware is not bad though

Took y'alls advice and swapped out neon for Fedora 30. Nice having up to date software again. Even cmus is the latest version (used to having to compile it).

>these guys
takes one to know one

GuixSD

>ctrl+f
>'gentoo'
>1 of 1 match

aur of arch, easy cli installer (manjaro-architect), high quality production
everything just werks

Ubuntu. I'm 31, I have a job that takes most of my time, and the days of installing meme distros are over. Nowadays I want things that just werk without getting on my way.

>time to leave, this board is fucking retarded

*lol, want's to leave*
-You can't leave.

Attached: 4chan-leave.png (850x850, 165K)

good to note this, maybe i'll try KDE neon

Mint, because it works and it's comfortable. And I don't like wasting my time on bullshit.

Debian
>Huge repositories
>There's a .deb file for everything
>Runs on anything from consoles to toasters
>Minimal and unbloated if you want, you can use it as a server or as a daily gaming distro, it will work no matter what you try
>No breaks on updates, no breaks on upgrades(unlike the distros based on it)
>I can mitigate some programs being too old with appimages and backports(flatpak has some weird bugs on some programs, tried in multiple distros so it's not a distro issue)
The con is that as a huge linux distro it has more sjws than other distros as far as I know but as long as their job doesn't involve fucking up the code, I'm good

This. It is like a different flavor of Windows when using gnome. It is the best distro and de to switch turbo normies too. My mother uses it now and switching her to ubuntu has stopped 99% of the tech help problems she once had me do.
