Yes, I'm not a degenerative fanboy. And?

I already have a Vega 56 Pulse. I can only give so much money to Sapphire.

mid range 400, sorry amd

its not fanboyism, it beeats out 2070 super HHAHA

I have no need to upgrade from my 1060 right now

I have a 1080Ti thanks.

Are the third party cards out yet?

techpowerup.com/258228/110-c-hotspot-temps-expected-and-within-spec-amd-on-rx-5700-series-thermals

>Buying AYYMD 110C HOUSEFIRES

How bad are the drivers? Also it instantly sold out so i couldnt if i wanted to

You trying to imply the 5700 xt on average is faster than a 2070s is very clearly fanboyism

Who cares about the average, it's faster in games that matter now, and won't be gimped by drivers once newer cards come out.

This must be b8

2070s is way more money you fucking retard and the amd gets close to it. 5700xt is the best deal right now and 590 is best for the mid range. and anyone who buys a 2080ti is retarded.

Im trying to, they havent been put on sale yet.

>he isn't waiting for big navi
It's almost like you don't want a futureproof GPU.

>higher transistor density means hotter hotspots
How do I into physics?!

>goal post moving
>590
Fanboyism

what was the goal? amd has the better video cards for the money at all segments, low end, mid range, and high end. 2080ti is retard range you can have that win.

>not a degenerative fanboy
he's a blower lad

2080s is going to be better for 1440 than 5700xt especially 3440x1440p. 5700xt is a great card and if I wasn't 21:9 I'd maybe get it but 2080 makes sense for some builds. This is coming from a red dragon Vega 56 owner.

>an overpriced rip off card is going to perform better than a card that costs less
wow stop the presses. 2080ti/2080super is a rip off card for retards unless they drop the price massively in the near future to match the others. that garbage 2080s still only has 8gb of vram.

I guess you can't really argue with stupid fanboys. Have fun with that

>Who cares about the average

Attached: 1565462279670.png (785x1000, 244K)

Too expensive, I'll get a RX580 instead.

>$800 card performs better than $400 card
What a fucking surprise

>stupid fanboys
its double the price of 5700xt and the same vram. it certainly is not worth double the price.

cant wait a month for it to arrive in my shithole

AIB isn't $400 and you can get a 2080 or super for less than $800, obviously. Nice try tho. And like I said >1440, 21:9
Imagine having a $700+ monitor then trying to save under $250 for a video card and costing yourself performance. This is what Jow Forums actually tries to argue though cause they're full of shit.

you can get good 1440p monitors for $350 and a $400 video card that runs it just fine. and yes, the sapphire AIB 5700XT is $410

You can also get great ultrawide monitors and more expensive regular 1440p. Point is some different cards make sense for different builds and focus and not everything is a penny pinching contest. These arguments without specific context are fake and gay

>Imagine having a $700+ monitor
I don't need to imagine anything, I'm not a larping poorfag like you.

Nice comeback!

Attached: 1533160298058.png (460x535, 308K)

you can buy an overpriced card if you want, theres no alternative after all. just dont try to claim that its a good idea for people who want a fair priced product.

Right now im on 3440x1440p with 75hz freesync. Love the Vega 56 for it, its been a great card. My goal in the future is probably to get higher hz and low response time 3440x1440p, and as much as I wanted the 5700xt to be an ideal card for that, its not.. And I wouldn't stress over the ~$200 between graphics cards at that point when I upgrade. 5700xt is badass but its not like there isn't a place for a 2080 where its still a practical purchase.

Why don't overclocks scale anymore? With GCN2.0 you pretty much had linear performance increase with OC now you're lucky if you get 3% higher performance out of a 10% frequency OC

Sounds standard. Does no one remember the foundry edition memes?

Seems like a cute card, OP, really it does, But I had significantly better performance for 18 months already.

Why would I buy some AMD trash that can't outperform my last gen nvidia GPU?

This post was brought to you by a the Fermi Housefire shill brigade. Remember, it's okay when AMD does it!

>use reference blower cooler
>extreme gpu test
>surprised blower cooler can't keep up

I have a 2080 Super.

Why would I buy a 5700XT when Intel GPUs are coming out next year?

Holy shit these threads are sad to read.

It's better than 450, and at least your not also being fucked by 250 dollar locked quadcores and expensive ram

Why should I care if it can meet the temps without long term damage?

Some, I saw the sapphire one one newegg last night, sold out. No idea if it was updated yet.

My 580 is still good enough, theres no point in spending more than $200 on a gpu in 2019

>He doesn't know
Radeon GPUs are not only bad but also terrible budget wise.
Also not posting actual pictures myself because Hiro been trying to jew Bongs into Jow Forums pass by banning ip ranges from posting pictures due to "abuse".

I'm not a hardcore gaymer so a RX 570 8GB i enough for me.

Though I have my doubts if the 8GB on this card can ever actually be used for anything.

I'm team waiting forever and Navi is an existing product which means it's no longer cool enough for me.

Attached: 1560937789346.png (929x1010, 1.67M)

>expensive ram
Ummm actually if you're not a retard and want to squeeze all the performance from your CPU Zen processors are very sensitive to actual timings and frequencies of your memory modules so if anything AMD requires more expensive memory if you know what you're doing instead of cheapest corsair kits.

High five my Just Wait™ brother!

Looks like the one single GPU fans OEM figured out static pressure optimization and every GPU cooler has it now. What a time to be alive.

waiting for it to work on linux

5700XT or 2070S?

Attached: 470702144.jpg (425x425, 27K)

Respond pls I seriously think in leafland the difference is gonna be less than 200$.

Attached: 11877700.jpg (324x286, 22K)

>doesn't know the difference between hot spot and edge temps

Attached: 1457293195161.jpg (243x290, 48K)

The difference in performance is worth like 30$ (and that's being generous). The actual price difference is $100+.
5700XT is the obvious winner.

>Yes we buy AMD products how could you tell

Attached: Yes.jpg (3937x2625, 694K)

It's 450 euros in my country, same price as a regular 2070. I don't care about raytracing but it neither seems like a worthwhile upgrade over my 1070 for 4k.

this
plus I clocked mine at around 5700 levels anyway so it's whatever

The fat stax from all the money they saved

But indians buy intel.

But indians buy Intel.

I mean no shit
it just came out

Ahhh, the obligatory "X is better than Y" thread. I also love AMD and have recently bought a 5700 XT, but this post wasn't very convincing.

>inb4 ayyyyyymd is worse than nvidio

Attached: 1513610090118.gif (625x626, 758K)

>Using more temperature probes so you can clock higher without damage
If Nvidia did this and marketed it as "Ultra OC Thermal Technology" you would praise it like it was free blowjobs and beer

Even a decent 3000 Mhz 32GB kit with decent timings is about the same price that an equivalent 16GB kit was a year ago

No. I've started to realize there is a huge Indian population on Jow Forums, this explains everything from AMD shilling to people who use Linux as a desktop OS.

aahhh the obligatory why are people discussing GPUs on a board about tech post

You'd be a degenerative fanboy to not consider 5700XT. It beats Rtx2070 for $100 less

I got a 2080, no thanks

I bought an rx570 on january so I dont need to replace it

I've bought 1070 for $550 once and I'm not getting memed by those ridiculous GPU prices again.

>2080s is going to be better for 1440 than 5700xt
>a more expensive card is going to perform slightly better
Is this how retarded nvidiots actually are ?

I got scammed by buying a gsync monitor. It was $270 for a dell 27" 1440p 144hz gsync monitor in early 2018.
The 5700XT is the only card worth having but i don't want to have to buy a new monitor and selling monitors is hopeless.
Every single nvidia card from pascal on is and will forever be so locked down that you would have to be an idiot to buy one. I'd rather have the 5700xt than a 2080ti because the radeon will do what I tell it to.
Its a shame because I wanted to love the 1080ti(fuck Turing half the die is wasted) but its just too locked down.

Attached: zkhbc30mg5631.jpg (900x1200, 610K)

The 5700XT is a $250 gpu in a competitive market. Do NOT buy a card right now unless you absolutely have to and even then go for a miners 570/580/1070 to bide time.
2080ti perf should be about $400 and when the market corrects you will hate yourself for buying a $400 5700xt, a 2080ti, or anything else

the fuck do you care what I buy?
what do you get out of it?

I wish company wars threads were just auto moved to /trash/

Middle will never be $200 again, inflation is a thing after all. But still the reasonable price for a 5700 XT would be $300, not $450 (which will turn into $600 outside US).

I have a 1060.
Call me in like 4 years.

XT costs like 500 € here so no thanks. Overpriced shit like 2060S suddenly looks like great value kek.

Paper launch so fuck off shill

>AIB isn't $400
ok it's 410
>2080 or super for less than $800
ok it's 750
you are still a retard comparing 2 different price categories

shill give me a good reason to buy your product?

really depends if you want to spend an extra 100$ for like 8 fps more

>It's 450 euros in my country, same price as a regular 2070
yeah but it's faster than a 2070
>4k
no card except the 2080ti does 4k

>Middle will never be $200 again

Attached: 1562365091926.jpg (400x343, 33K)

Inflation might push it to 250 but yeah the only reasons the performance is about what it should be and price is double is lack of competition.
In a competitive market if the 2080ti were to be $700 then it would be the same gigantic die size but with 100% of it dedicated to rasterization with hbm2. That would make it easily twice as fast as the 14nm gddr6 $1200 piece of garbage it is.
With AMD actually making money, nvidia feeling the fuck up of Turing, and Intel entering the market I think we will see competition again.

The reason nvidia went with bullshit instead of rasterization is that they didn't want to fuck themselves up into a corner like intel did with 2500k once. They didn't want to make a card they couldn't easily beat themselves but still had to introduce a gimmick to gimp older cards.

2080ti cannot into 4k either. It is advertised to handle DLSS "4k" which is in fact ugly upscaled 1440p. If you want upscale, you might as well get a 5700 xt for it as AMDs sharpening filter does wonders.

its barely makes it sure
4k is a meme for now anyway

is xfx a good brand? I've always had nvidia so the amd cards are all new to me. about to upgrade my 1060 6gb to a 5700xt

>can't buy anything until monday
>sapphire already sold out everywhere
>powercolo comes out thursday and probably will sell out everywhere within 24 hours too
>don't really want the non-thicc version of the XFX card
>ASUS
>MSI
>Gigabyte
>ASRock
>HIS
Fucking christ I don't want to wait til September I need to replace my broken GPU now

It's too long for my case matx tower

It's funny that the AMD exclusive companies have a better reputation than those companies that don't

Now read the rest where I mention 3440x1440p idiot

>Imagine having a $700+ monitor then trying to save under $250 for a video card and costing yourself performance. This is what Jow Forums actually tries to argue though cause they're full of shit.
Right over your fucking head. And I'm saying 5700xt is a great card and you guys still have to bitch like NO ITS THE ONLY CARD
Ridiculous

if you think 8% more performance is worth an extra $90(its not) go ahead.

But the drivers are broken. Or am i wrong? Can a coping 5700xt blower fanboy refute this for me? Is it good to go?
