n, just charge wirelessly. cables are for hiding and retards.

lol, fuck wireless charging
OP is a retard too wtf is this just get a new cable if yours has a problem

Gimmick. Will never be as strong as a moulded cable. In addition I assume they have to sell the plugs separately as well in case the plug itself is damaged rather than the cable. List price seems to be about 15 bucks, so 2-3 times the price of a standard cable. In other words, you could buy three standard cables for the price of this one and they don't get shorter when they break.
Makes sense for really high value (relatively) items like $400 IEMs where replacing the cable/connector is the cheap bit, but doesn't make sense for a USB cable.

Overall 0/10 would not buy.

y, but I disagree

>encouraging people to cut cables
>allowing people to cut the cable while they are plugged in on at least one side
A lot of lawsuits will come forth out of this unsafe design.

if you ever broke a charging cable you should consider rethinking your usage habits

Further to these two posts, high-frequency comms as found on USB-C/Lightning/whatever are a fucking nightmare at the best of times to get right, let alone when you let your users cut and terminate/crimp the fucking connectors themselves. This reeks of an 'ideas man' with no actual engineering experience coming up with a product and then getting the investment to build it from a load of boomers who don't understand it either.

cringe zoomer

Who makes this and where can I buy it?

Wait do smartphones still have ports to plug things into? Mine even charges using a wireless cradle.

Name 50 phones that are completely portless.

Why not just make a cable that isn't shit quality?

Housefire material

how many wires inside those cables anyway?

almost impossible

Most of the cables are fine if you don't bend them 90 degrees at the connector, like retards often do.

fluffy boi

We landed on the moon 50 years ago, why can't we have a cable that bends 90 degrees at the connector

How does this even work? How can the connector guarantee that the conductors all align correctly?

Because making a cable that lasts forever is bad for business.
We have them, they are cheap to make but why would you make them when you could make one that breaks so the costumer buys another one?

stop spreading communist propaganda. we're not falling for your honeytap, glowie

Wireless charging is neat but horribly inefficient

Wireless charging is for cucks

>not using wireless or magnetic breakaway cables in year of the Lord 2100-81

I don't trust it. This is never going to work without problems or fucking up my phone.

>We landed on the moon
uhhhh

Just get a cable that doesn't break.

>lol all our cables break
>lmao lets invent this flimsy connector that can crimp a new contact on cut cable
