I found this small white box on the wall of my apartment. I have noticed it before too but didn't think much of it.
I am wondering if any of you know what it is.
It has never made any sound or anything like that.
Never noticed any light blinking or anything.
Does anyone here know what it is?

The backing was mounted on the wall with some screws. But the front was just clipped on to it.
I've censored some serial numbers and some info just to be safe but I wanna know if any of you recognize it.

Seems like a thermostat. It's probably right next to your A/C panel where you can unscrew it and change the filter. It's used in conjunction with the settings box which should be near it for your A/C. It tells you the indoor temperature and can turn on the A/C automatically when temperature is too low or high.
