graphical environements are bloat, use the tty

the mouse, it's lightweight and functional without too much bs, can be configured to look nice too without being generic

fuck off

All time favourite is probably GNOME, closely followed by Xfce.

KDE is just so good, you can configure it to be so lightweighted + QT + customization + efficiency + eye candy.

downside is it's a little buggy, but still less buggy that something like the windows desktop

xfce is to linux as linux is to operating systems

i just got a t530 an i'm gonna put xfce on it

this

Based, I like xfce but it's just too slow to pick up nice new things. Gnome kinda btfos the other DEs for more unique setups (fractional scaling, egpu support, etc).

bump

I miss Unity

And like always it will end the same way.
>1. KDE
>2. Xfce
>3. GNOME

I'm using Cinnamon but it's a bit fucked.

I hate HOMOSEXUALS that post pics with transparent backgrounds so god damn much.

Cinnamon, KDE is also nice, but cinnamon is the least autistic and well thought out one, at least the Manjaro version is.

if desktop
gnome
else
xfce

>image hover
Disgusting.

Honestly....Ubuntu's take on Gnome. It reminds me of Unity but it's not completely retarded like pure Gnome. Other than that I would have to say I like Lxqt.
F

xfce
it just werks

My favorite is icewm but it wasn't listed
>inb4 DE not WM
DEs that aren't just WMs are bloat

Cinnamon's like a good gnome2, and mate is like cinnamon's ugly sister.
Install KDE Plasma.

Fractional scaling sucks balls on Gnome compared to KDE.

lxqt

because it has the same philosophy as xfce, but i prefer a qt-centric desktop to a gtk-centric one. also openbox is a killer choice for the default wm.
