What's the best search engine for a bad goy?

To be honest the only bias I have to google is the popup dictionary entries it shows, like the beginning of articles, or solving your math problem for you, or the release date + rating of filmes across the biggest rating sites. Startpage doesn't even try to offer this in any way, so my bias to it is not really there.

I use duckduckgo just because I hate having my search results messed with. Also google's new image tab is absolute shit now. I could care less about the shady stuff that goes on with DDG

searx sucks ass at giving relevant results. Qwant is the best alternative and easy to get used to. it also has a lite version:

Why is every searx instance literally broken? I enable like 5 different search engines and the only one that ever works is DDG and Google always gives a captcha error. What gives?

DUDE I JUST found out about gab today. I saw someone with an account linked on their profile, but you follow it, it's deleted. So I googled it and found out that gab is huge but no one fucks with gab. Even mastodon explicitly commented on gab joining mastodon to say gab a shit.

I ditched it for Startpage, I'll take the anonymized google results over the anonymized bing results.

Is there a reverse image search aggregator? Something like searx, but you upload / link image and get results from saucenao, iqdb, google, bing, yandex, tineye, etc...

Exept for pictures and for some geographic areas where is uses Bing, Qwant has its own Web index. So yes it's the only true alternative. Others use Google or Bing index for everything.

What's the point of excluding anything if you get combined results? It's theirs processing power and you're not the one making a query. Seems like a win-win to me.

Damn, Qwant is way better than when I first tried it a few years ago. Searx still is too ugly and has too much going on. Going to switch from Startpage to Qwant for now.

Qwant is fucking shit, terrible search results compared to jewgle when I used it a few months back. I wanted to like it and initially thought it was great but just got sick of it after a week.

Not shilling because I acknowledge google is the best for state of the art research with G scholar but why not shift to untracked and ungogled for everyday life searches ?

I found DDG gives best and least censored results. Startpage results are censored and fucked with just like Google. Qwant I don't know. Also DDG allows easy country selection unlike Google trying to force you use "local" site every time.

I'm not really into privacy, there isn't much to say about ecosia, it's pretty minimalist based on uMatrix for me and even with ublock and umatrix disabled, it doesn't show ads or different results
I have no idea about it's privacy, I really recommend it because it's never addressed in shitshow discussions like these and most of the time works better than all others
